Harry Potter and the First Time Readers: Q&A and Finale

Jon, Jenn, Danny, and Kristen talk over their last thoughts of the Harry Potter series.

[00:00:00] All right, let's do our final intro. Welcome to the podcast. I'm Jon, Jen, Danny, and Kristen. And this is Harry Potter and the First Time Readers.

[00:00:10] That can't be our last one. Well, a lot of people submitted tons of questions for you guys. So we did a few before but I still want to go over some of these other ones that we'll probably kind of talk through.

[00:00:39] And to start off, one of the most popular and common questions that we got was just do you guys like Harry as a character?

[00:00:51] Actually, hold on. Time out. Let's start with this question. Even a more basic question than that. Did you guys like the series?

[00:01:01] No. I loved the series!

[00:01:07] You liked it. And you loved it.

[00:01:11] Yeah. Cheating answer, but yeah.

[00:01:15] I think it was so hyped up.

[00:01:18] Yeah.

[00:01:19] That I wasn't... I don't know what I was expecting.

[00:01:24] I enjoyed it.

[00:01:25] I mean, yeah. It was hyped up for you and we were doing literally a podcast about it, getting to the end of it.

[00:01:31] So when it got to the end of it, I could imagine in some way it was like, oh, okay.

[00:01:36] Yeah.

[00:01:38] Yeah.

[00:01:38] Like it was good. It was a great series, but like it wasn't life changing.

[00:01:41] Yeah.

[00:01:42] Yeah.

[00:01:43] So maybe if it was faster paced?

[00:01:45] I don't know.

[00:01:47] But then I wouldn't have gotten to like dig into all the...

[00:01:50] Yeah, for sure. Yeah.

[00:01:51] Nitty gritty stuff.

[00:01:52] Yeah.

[00:01:52] And you sacrifice again, everyone thanks you guys because you sacrifice your reading experience for all of us.

[00:01:57] So we could vicariously live through you.

[00:02:00] So that was huge.

[00:02:02] Yeah.

[00:02:02] No, it was...

[00:02:03] It's been fun and I'm glad I know how it ends.

[00:02:06] Yeah, exactly.

[00:02:07] You don't have to fit around squares anymore.

[00:02:09] I don't know how I survived this long.

[00:02:11] I know, seriously.

[00:02:12] But I didn't.

[00:02:13] How about Harry as a character?

[00:02:15] Do you guys like Harry as a character?

[00:02:19] Yeah.

[00:02:19] I think majority, yes.

[00:02:21] There was one book that he was so annoying in.

[00:02:24] I don't remember.

[00:02:25] Probably the fifth one.

[00:02:26] I don't remember.

[00:02:26] I was just going to say, fifth book.

[00:02:27] I don't know what Phoenix is usually the book city he's annoying in.

[00:02:29] Where he's like moody all the time and grumpy and...

[00:02:32] That was probably it.

[00:02:32] Like snapping at Hermione around.

[00:02:34] Yeah, not being a good friend.

[00:02:35] Yeah.

[00:02:36] That was it.

[00:02:36] Yeah.

[00:02:37] Yep.

[00:02:37] Order of the Phoenix was...

[00:02:39] I don't remember.

[00:02:40] Yeah.

[00:02:40] Yeah.

[00:02:40] After Cedric died, I feel like it was kind of like...

[00:02:43] Yeah, like a depressed...

[00:02:44] It affected him a lot.

[00:02:45] Yeah, yeah.

[00:02:47] And that's...

[00:02:48] Yeah, okay.

[00:02:49] I think so.

[00:02:51] What about you?

[00:02:52] I feel like I always liked him.

[00:02:56] Um...

[00:02:56] Like you said, moments that I wasn't his biggest fan.

[00:03:00] Um...

[00:03:01] But with all you guys to keep me in check, Kristen would always say, he's a teenager!

[00:03:06] Give him a say!

[00:03:07] What was he doing at 14 or whatever?

[00:03:08] Alright, fair enough.

[00:03:10] That was good.

[00:03:10] Because it was easy to forget his age or situation and just be judgy.

[00:03:17] Thank you.

[00:03:20] So, yeah.

[00:03:21] I, uh...

[00:03:22] I did like him as a character though.

[00:03:23] And then especially seeing his...

[00:03:25] His whole arc, I feel like it was very satisfying.

[00:03:32] And I feel like it was good.

[00:03:34] Every character has to have a bit of growth, low moments, high moments.

[00:03:39] Um...

[00:03:39] And, yeah, even Kristen from...

[00:03:41] From meeting it from like for a second time, did your opinion of Harry change at all?

[00:03:46] Mmm...

[00:03:50] Not really.

[00:03:50] I didn't really have a strong opinion of him.

[00:03:52] Yeah.

[00:03:53] To begin with.

[00:03:54] Yeah, for sure.

[00:03:54] To be honest, I...

[00:03:56] Didn't really like...

[00:03:58] Well, I didn't like pick apart the series like that when I was watching the movies.

[00:04:03] Yeah.

[00:04:03] Cause that's what I knew.

[00:04:05] Oh, right.

[00:04:05] Um...

[00:04:06] I just liked the storyline as a whole.

[00:04:10] I guess.

[00:04:11] Right, right.

[00:04:12] So...

[00:04:13] But yeah, I like him.

[00:04:16] It's nothing like...

[00:04:17] Yeah.

[00:04:18] Over the top.

[00:04:19] Yeah, for sure.

[00:04:20] Weirdly, I think the more people...

[00:04:21] The more someone reads the series, the more they actually really love Harry.

[00:04:25] So the first time I read it, I remember being like, oh, he's like a cool character.

[00:04:28] I really like him.

[00:04:28] And every single time that I read it now, I'm like more and more impressed of a character.

[00:04:32] Like how he is as a character.

[00:04:34] Mmm.

[00:04:34] Um...

[00:04:35] And you know...

[00:04:35] Cause it's like subtle maturing, right?

[00:04:37] Yeah.

[00:04:37] From the beginning to the end.

[00:04:38] Yeah.

[00:04:47] Even though he's a crap friend in certain parts, how good of a friend he is toward people

[00:04:53] that he loves.

[00:04:53] Like how much he cares about people.

[00:04:55] Mmm.

[00:04:55] Like it's all in there.

[00:04:56] He struggles with getting it out.

[00:04:58] But when he does get it out, he's like an exceptional person.

[00:05:03] Um...

[00:05:04] Becky and Chewy both kind of asked this question.

[00:05:07] Or this is one of Chewy's questions.

[00:05:10] It's for Danny.

[00:05:11] Have you located Hogwarts yet?

[00:05:13] When you guys went to Scotland.

[00:05:15] You looked so hard.

[00:05:17] Although, it's funny actually being in Scotland, I feel like took away some of that fun.

[00:05:23] Oh no.

[00:05:23] Because like it was a blast to be there because it was so magical everywhere.

[00:05:28] But it's not that big of a country.

[00:05:31] So it actually made it harder to picture Hogwarts in a place like that.

[00:05:36] Like, leading up to it, I don't know, maybe you didn't feel the same way, but I pictured

[00:05:42] it being more like out in the middle of nowhere.

[00:05:44] Even Loch Ness, we stayed in a little castle on the south end of the lake, you know, likely

[00:05:50] Hogwarts location.

[00:05:51] It's pretty cool.

[00:05:51] And I was like, it's weird that the whole lake is settled already.

[00:05:57] Yeah.

[00:05:57] You know, like people and towns and everywhere you go, even in remote places, you're still

[00:06:03] seeing like homes and stuff.

[00:06:05] You're never that far from civilization.

[00:06:07] We didn't go to the farthest extent of everything though.

[00:06:10] Um, that's why.

[00:06:11] And that maybe that's it.

[00:06:13] And there were, there were parts in the, in the Northeast we didn't go to where it

[00:06:18] could be, um, those snow capped mountains that Harry and Ron flew over.

[00:06:22] Um, so.

[00:06:24] It like, so looks like.

[00:06:26] Oh yeah.

[00:06:27] Like, I just don't get how you said that you can't.

[00:06:30] Well, it just makes harder to picture it.

[00:06:32] I'm like how?

[00:06:33] Because.

[00:06:33] Everything there screams like this whole scenery from Harry Potter.

[00:06:37] Yeah.

[00:06:37] Oh, you know, part of it was the scale.

[00:06:39] It felt like a very cozy place.

[00:06:41] Yeah.

[00:06:41] But the whole point is you can't see it.

[00:06:44] Um, that is true.

[00:06:45] Um, that is true.

[00:07:00] But.

[00:07:00] So.

[00:07:00] The whole thing is still floating in its own.

[00:07:02] Well, I mean, honestly, maybe that's part of the magic of the whole thing.

[00:07:05] It's so big, but I think it was just hard to picture anything of that scale there, even

[00:07:12] in Edinburgh where they have a very large castle on a hill and the whole city is built around

[00:07:18] it.

[00:07:18] Um, that castle was tiny in comparison to anything that resembles Hogwarts.

[00:07:24] So that was the only part where it was hard to actually picture.

[00:07:28] And then it just made me want to read the history of magic all the more.

[00:07:31] Um, because there could be an explanation for it easily.

[00:07:36] And obviously it is magic.

[00:07:38] So I don't need to be able to find it in the real world.

[00:07:41] But it was a disconnect.

[00:07:43] It was a disconnect.

[00:07:44] That's all I'm saying.

[00:07:48] And I was hoping I'd walk on some random location and be like, this is where Hogwarts

[00:07:52] needs to be.

[00:07:53] But I didn't find any spot like that.

[00:07:58] Um, it was very magical though, for sure.

[00:08:00] And you're, you're there and you're just like, wow, I could see JK taking everything

[00:08:05] in and writing it in her book.

[00:08:07] That's what I felt like in Edinburgh.

[00:08:09] It was really cool.

[00:08:10] That was like the coolest thing.

[00:08:11] It just felt like Hogwarts felt like all of her inspiration was coming from that city.

[00:08:15] Especially when we were next to the hotel where you said that she wrote some of it in.

[00:08:18] Oh yeah, yeah, yeah.

[00:08:20] And you look across and it was, it was so cool.

[00:08:23] Like looking back at the city from where she wrote the seventh book.

[00:08:26] Yeah.

[00:08:27] It, uh.

[00:08:28] Or even the castle with the arena like set up.

[00:08:32] Oh yeah.

[00:08:32] The stadium seating they do every summer and they have flags at the top of the stadium.

[00:08:38] It literally looks like a glitch match.

[00:08:40] It really does.

[00:08:41] That's cool.

[00:08:41] That's really cool.

[00:08:42] And one of the twergers that were going, passing us said that like she was inspired by the

[00:08:46] So cool.

[00:08:47] All the flags popping up.

[00:08:48] Oh wow.

[00:08:49] And I'm like it literally is exactly that in the movies and in her books.

[00:08:53] You're right.

[00:08:53] I mean flipped but whatever.

[00:08:55] Oh, so good.

[00:08:56] Yeah, that was really cool.

[00:08:58] It'd be like, oh my gosh, it's real life.

[00:09:01] Yep.

[00:09:02] Um, how about this question?

[00:09:04] In the books, there's a lot of people who die in the books.

[00:09:06] Who did you think was the saddest death?

[00:09:09] Like who's?

[00:09:11] Dobby.

[00:09:12] Dobby's really?

[00:09:13] That was the saddest.

[00:09:16] Who else?

[00:09:17] Oh, cause Dumbledore died.

[00:09:19] Yeah, there are a few.

[00:09:21] There's a few.

[00:09:22] So I mean you had Dumbledore, you had Fred, Tonks, Lupin, Cedric.

[00:09:28] I think I was the saddest one of those.

[00:09:29] Moody, Dobby, Harry, kind of.

[00:09:32] But Moody could still be alive, right?

[00:09:34] Honestly, yeah.

[00:09:34] Yeah, we never got that confirmed for sure.

[00:09:39] Mine is based off the movies.

[00:09:41] Mine was Cedric.

[00:09:42] Oh, interesting.

[00:09:43] Yeah.

[00:09:44] In the movies, I think his is actually the saddest.

[00:09:46] Yeah.

[00:09:46] Cedric's or Hedwig's is weirdly sad in the movies too.

[00:09:50] Oh, yeah, yeah.

[00:09:51] I feel like Cedric's was almost anticlimactic in the books

[00:09:57] because I felt so strongly in that during the movies.

[00:10:00] Yeah.

[00:10:01] And I was like, oh man, this part is coming up.

[00:10:03] And I thought it was like gonna be super emotional in it.

[00:10:06] If I'm remembering correctly.

[00:10:08] Yeah.

[00:10:08] It wasn't.

[00:10:09] I mean, yeah.

[00:10:11] Agreed.

[00:10:11] Yeah.

[00:10:12] Yeah.

[00:10:13] I think so.

[00:10:14] That's the first death in the book.

[00:10:17] Yeah, Cedric's pretty much the first death.

[00:10:19] And especially by something evil.

[00:10:21] Yeah.

[00:10:21] I mean, there's like other deaths that happened in the books before that.

[00:10:26] But yeah, his is the actual first real death.

[00:10:29] Like of a character that we kind of know.

[00:10:31] Mm-hmm.

[00:10:32] And I think I said it during those recordings.

[00:10:35] I feel like the pain of Cedric's death followed us for another book after that.

[00:10:40] So we got to unpack that as Harry did.

[00:10:43] Mm-hmm.

[00:10:43] And that made the pain of it feel more substantial.

[00:10:48] Because it was the first one.

[00:10:51] Mm-hmm.

[00:10:52] I feel like Dumbledore's death was probably the biggest impact.

[00:10:56] Mm-hmm.

[00:10:58] It was more annoying, I think.

[00:11:00] Yeah.

[00:11:01] To be honest, yeah.

[00:11:02] Yeah, fair.

[00:11:03] There were elements of that.

[00:11:04] And Dobby, of course.

[00:11:06] Fred.

[00:11:06] I think Dobby was the worst though, because he was like just freed.

[00:11:10] Yeah.

[00:11:10] He was just so excited.

[00:11:12] Mm-hmm.

[00:11:13] Um, he had this whole new life.

[00:11:15] He's like this innocent creature that's just trying to help.

[00:11:19] And it was shocking the whole like, ugh.

[00:11:21] And like, he was just helping.

[00:11:23] Yep.

[00:11:24] Which, I mean, I guess they all were helping, but like, I don't know.

[00:11:27] It happened too fast.

[00:11:29] Yeah.

[00:11:29] And his whole character was just like, it was just sweet.

[00:11:33] Like, something innocent, I feel like is more hurtful.

[00:11:37] Mm-hmm.

[00:11:37] Like, seeing them die or get hurt or anything.

[00:11:41] Yeah.

[00:11:42] Yeah.

[00:11:42] Because he's like the epitome of just an innocent character.

[00:11:46] Him and Con Creavy and Dennis Creavy, like all that, the whole-

[00:11:50] Oh, yeah.

[00:11:51] All three of them are just the innocent, fun-loving people.

[00:11:54] And yeah, his death kind of hits you because of that.

[00:11:56] It just kind of crushes you a little bit.

[00:11:59] They're all sad, but I think that one got me in the movie.

[00:12:01] Yeah.

[00:12:02] You wouldn't be, you'd probably be in the majority there.

[00:12:04] I would say the majority of people who answered that question would probably say Dobby's as well.

[00:12:08] I think that's like the most devastating one for fans.

[00:12:11] Mm-hmm.

[00:12:12] And speaking of fans, there's another question that came in.

[00:12:15] What do you guys think of the fandom now that you've finished the books?

[00:12:18] Do you think it's like, especially that you guys have saw, you guys saw, you know,

[00:12:22] we went to King's Cross on September 1st.

[00:12:25] You saw like the fans in full force.

[00:12:28] I'm not one of them.

[00:12:30] You can't claim that now, honey.

[00:12:33] Yes, seriously.

[00:12:35] You're in it.

[00:12:38] You're a bigger fan than me.

[00:12:40] But it is funny.

[00:12:42] I still feel like a bit of imposter syndrome about it, where some people are such big fans

[00:12:48] that I feel like it's different for us or we're still new fans, especially compared to

[00:12:55] people who have been fans for, you know, a decade.

[00:12:58] Yeah.

[00:12:59] Then it still feels funny to be around people.

[00:13:01] Yeah.

[00:13:02] Or it also feels like I have to hold back a little bit because in a lot of environments,

[00:13:07] I'm still getting so excited about these things and people are like, what are you nuts?

[00:13:11] Like this is old news.

[00:13:12] Like, um, so it is, it is a funny dynamic, but I do think all the fans in general are pretty

[00:13:20] cool.

[00:13:21] Um, it's like a welcoming fandom.

[00:13:24] You know, everyone's excited.

[00:13:26] Yeah.

[00:13:26] Anyone who's a fan is just so happy to have other people who also are fans.

[00:13:31] It really is.

[00:13:32] I think one of the best fandoms in the world, Star Wars is so divisive for certain things.

[00:13:35] Yeah.

[00:13:36] Harry Potter is becoming a little divisive for the series that's coming out.

[00:13:40] Um, but it still is just like a very warm, welcoming fandom compared to other ones where

[00:13:45] it's like you jump in and people are just happy to have you.

[00:13:47] The first question they're asking is like, you know what house you're in?

[00:13:49] And like, that's all they care about.

[00:13:50] And I do think that's a fascinating part of the fandom that it goes beyond the story itself.

[00:13:56] Hmm.

[00:13:58] Where it feels like, um, in a lot of fandoms, it is so based on the story, Star Wars, you

[00:14:04] might get in debates about different things, but in Harry Potter at a certain point, the

[00:14:09] story of Harry Potter is not what people are talking about.

[00:14:13] Yeah.

[00:14:13] It's the houses and it's the world that they're talking about.

[00:14:17] And I think that is a kind of endearing, cozy, warm fandom.

[00:14:22] Yeah.

[00:14:22] It's a great point.

[00:14:23] Like it's the world that she's built out that fans are really attracted to.

[00:14:26] Do you know like they love the story, which actually is another interesting question.

[00:14:30] This is one of the biggest ones that people talk about.

[00:14:32] If you could, if you, if like you were in charge of an HBO series that wasn't on Harry

[00:14:37] Potter, but it was something in the wizarding world, what would you guys make?

[00:14:40] Like what part of the wizarding world would you want to go into?

[00:14:44] Wow.

[00:14:44] A lot of people say the founders.

[00:14:46] I'll give you a few examples.

[00:14:47] A lot of people say the founders, they would love a founder series.

[00:14:49] A lot of people say the Marauders, they would love a series on the Marauders.

[00:14:52] A lot of people talk about like a CSI kind of show with Harry Potter.

[00:14:55] Or like a, like a, like a cops with like the, uh, the auras or something like that.

[00:15:03] My instinct would be to make the world much bigger and see wizarding elements in other parts

[00:15:11] of the world.

[00:15:11] But I think if I had time to plan it all out, that would betray part of the magic of Harry

[00:15:18] Potter because you never want to lose that coziness.

[00:15:23] So even with the HBO series, I get excited about some of the things they can explore.

[00:15:28] Um, the founders feels perfect because you can do a lot and it connects really easily

[00:15:34] to the world we already know.

[00:15:36] And there's some, some nice threads you can pull there.

[00:15:40] But I think the Marauders would be tough because you're going to, you're going to be stepping

[00:15:45] on some toes as soon as you do that because you're affecting the way someone already pictures

[00:15:50] a character maybe.

[00:15:52] Um, oh man, that'd be tough.

[00:15:55] But I feel like what?

[00:15:57] You know what I picture the Marauders as?

[00:15:58] Yeah.

[00:15:58] More of a sitcom.

[00:16:00] Totally changed the entire vibe.

[00:16:02] Wow, that's funny.

[00:16:03] That would be great.

[00:16:04] That would be so great.

[00:16:04] Because it's, you've got that camaraderie, make it totally new and don't come at it like

[00:16:10] trying to recreate Harry Potter, but make it funny.

[00:16:14] They're funny.

[00:16:15] Yeah.

[00:16:15] You know, like they were, yeah, they were always getting into trouble.

[00:16:19] Like, I don't know.

[00:16:21] I feel like that would be fun just to like make a fun side thing instead of it being

[00:16:26] so like serious because the books get very serious.

[00:16:30] Right.

[00:16:31] You know, I could, I could actually kind of see that even the stuff with Snape, Snape took

[00:16:38] it as his worst memory, but you could actually picture that from the other perspective, not

[00:16:44] feeling as intense as it did from Snape's side.

[00:16:49] Yeah, or sinister, yeah.

[00:16:49] So I could see that being kind of like a rom-com high school vibe or even a sitcom, you know?

[00:16:59] I feel like that would be cool.

[00:17:00] Mm-hmm.

[00:17:01] But there are so many other parts of the world that I'm, I'm not sad, but in a sense,

[00:17:08] sad she didn't explore.

[00:17:09] So if there were other things like separate from Harry Potter, I feel like it would just

[00:17:15] be so cool to explore things she barely hinted at.

[00:17:19] Yeah.

[00:17:20] Other schools would be easy and you would have complete freedom over the story.

[00:17:25] Mm-hmm.

[00:17:26] So it'd be fun to explore that.

[00:17:27] That's why I was just talking to someone, I want a whole series about Elvermorny.

[00:17:31] Yeah.

[00:17:31] Like that.

[00:17:32] That feels like.

[00:17:32] It's a blank slate.

[00:17:34] You could do whatever you want with it.

[00:17:35] Writers are like salivating over something like that.

[00:17:37] And as long as you keep it contained, because that's my biggest fear with HBO and everything,

[00:17:42] you don't want it to turn into, well, no hate on Marvel, but just the idea that when

[00:17:48] you see enough of these movies, everyone gets a little bigger, the enemies get a little

[00:17:52] more powerful.

[00:17:55] Mm-hmm.

[00:17:57] Like, you could do that again easily with each of the schools.

[00:18:23] Mm-hmm.

[00:18:24] Because in the end, none of the other schools even came to help Hogwarts with this, right?

[00:18:29] Like, I'm trying to picture that.

[00:18:30] Yeah.

[00:18:31] Yeah, exactly.

[00:18:31] It was still kind of isolated to one school.

[00:18:33] It was very contained.

[00:18:34] It would be fun to see like a Durmstrang one of Grindelwald.

[00:18:40] Yeah.

[00:18:40] Like what he went through at Durmstrang.

[00:18:42] Yeah.

[00:18:42] Like what the students thought of him, if he got a lot of people on his side.

[00:18:46] It'd be kind of interesting, I think.

[00:18:48] Agreed.

[00:18:48] Um, and then speaking of, speaking of even villains, what do you guys think of Voldemort

[00:18:53] as a villain?

[00:18:54] Like in your media expertise of like watching all these movies and seeing like reading books

[00:19:00] about villains, like, you know, there's so many great villains out there.

[00:19:04] What do you think of Voldemort and how he stacks up?

[00:19:07] Do you think he's actually the main villain of this story?

[00:19:11] Oh.

[00:19:12] Oh.

[00:19:13] Because I mean like, I mean like there's obvious one of Umbridge.

[00:19:15] People say Umbridge is actually a worse villain.

[00:19:17] Hmm.

[00:19:18] Yeah.

[00:19:18] I saw something Stephen King said.

[00:19:20] Stephen King said, yeah, she was the worst.

[00:19:22] Whoa.

[00:19:22] I think, I think he said that she's like the best written villain since like Hannibal Lecter

[00:19:26] or something weird.

[00:19:27] Oh my God.

[00:19:29] Which is so funny because she just never seemed that bad to me.

[00:19:33] And I feel bad even saying that on the pod.

[00:19:35] Here we go again.

[00:19:36] He was always like anti, uh,

[00:19:38] Yeah, and I'm just like, yeah, whatever.

[00:19:40] Anti Umbridge.

[00:19:40] Anti Umbridge.

[00:19:41] What was that in again?

[00:19:42] What book was this?

[00:19:43] She was in the fifth and the seventh.

[00:19:46] Which?

[00:19:46] That's the Order of, no.

[00:19:47] Yeah, Order of the Phoenix.

[00:19:49] And.

[00:19:49] Oh, that's why I didn't like Harry or her.

[00:19:51] Mm-hmm.

[00:19:52] Yeah, and it makes it hard to read that book because you're like in pain reading her, her

[00:19:57] antics there.

[00:19:59] Um.

[00:19:59] Yeah.

[00:19:59] So yeah.

[00:20:00] That's true.

[00:20:00] I'm surprised you guys didn't talk about the wands.

[00:20:04] That you would like more info on the wand history.

[00:20:08] Oh, well, fair point.

[00:20:09] Good.

[00:20:09] Now that you mention it.

[00:20:12] I was like that.

[00:20:12] Honestly, a whole series about that would be so fascinating.

[00:20:15] I was like, that's definitely coming up as the first thing you guys said.

[00:20:18] So that to me doesn't seem like an HBO series.

[00:20:20] That seems like a, a, uh, a YouTube series where a guy makes wands and the whole, it's

[00:20:26] like a 40 minute long video and there's no, there's no music.

[00:20:30] He doesn't talk.

[00:20:31] He's sitting there just.

[00:20:32] Yes.

[00:20:33] Whittling a wand.

[00:20:33] And I'm just.

[00:20:34] Love it.

[00:20:35] I'm just, I can't look.

[00:20:36] I can't look away from.

[00:20:37] I feel like you're talking about a series you're going to do.

[00:20:40] You know that like something like that exists with violin making.

[00:20:44] Yeah.

[00:20:44] I'm sure it does.

[00:20:46] You know how many series it was like that on YouTube?

[00:20:47] Well, you enjoy that.

[00:20:49] It's like literally, it's just someone making something and they spend the whole video is

[00:20:53] like an hour and 20 minutes and it's just like them making like a pencil.

[00:20:57] And I can watch those for hours.

[00:20:58] Someone's making the wands.

[00:21:00] They're so great.

[00:21:01] Yeah.

[00:21:01] I do that for wands and I'm in.

[00:21:03] Yeah.

[00:21:03] That is a perfect YouTube series.

[00:21:05] Where does the magic come from?

[00:21:07] Exactly.

[00:21:08] I want to see how they embed the magic in there.

[00:21:09] Yep.

[00:21:10] I would love like a deep dive in all the characters, like their backgrounds.

[00:21:14] Yeah.

[00:21:14] Seriously.

[00:21:15] Yep.

[00:21:15] Like history of their childhood and how they grew up and where they went to school and

[00:21:20] all the things.

[00:21:22] I feel like it brings up a weird question of what you can do with a story and when it

[00:21:28] starts to take away from the original story.

[00:21:30] If you make more stories that either are before or after the one we already love, does it have

[00:21:36] to tie into that story or can it be separate?

[00:21:39] And if it's separate, does it take away from the story we love?

[00:21:43] I don't know.

[00:21:44] I kind of go back and forth.

[00:21:45] But I love to know why.

[00:21:46] So that's why I would enjoy the background stories of all them.

[00:21:51] I know.

[00:21:51] But isn't there a series or something that has just like a spinoffs that are just on

[00:21:56] like one character that don't necessarily tie in, but like you can kind of understand a

[00:22:02] personality that you see in the main.

[00:22:05] Yeah.

[00:22:05] That's what a lot of the fan fiction is going to, which is I mean, that leads into two other

[00:22:09] questions that I have for you guys.

[00:22:10] Which smaller character would you like a series about or like would you like another book about?

[00:22:15] And then on top of that, if the series is written from another character's perspective,

[00:22:20] which character would you want that to be?

[00:22:21] Oh, so do the first one.

[00:22:24] We'll do the first one first.

[00:22:25] Which Hermione's parents.

[00:22:29] Oh, like they're letting their daughter go to a world that they know nothing about.

[00:22:36] Yeah.

[00:22:37] I, uh, it's because I was watching Transylvania.

[00:22:42] I don't know enough about what happens in that.

[00:22:45] It's like a human marriage, uh, falling in love with a vampire.

[00:22:48] That's great.

[00:22:49] And then Transylvania 2 talks about being married and that's why I was on my mind.

[00:22:55] Like, oh my gosh, Hermione's parents have no clue about this world.

[00:22:59] And what, when they come visit, what does that feel like?

[00:23:02] And they're okay with her not knowing what she's doing.

[00:23:05] And she's wasting her smarts and talent.

[00:23:08] Yeah.

[00:23:08] Like all the things.

[00:23:09] And I feel like she doesn't talk about them much at all.

[00:23:13] So it is kind of funny.

[00:23:14] You could do anything with that.

[00:23:16] Yeah.

[00:23:16] And, uh, it wouldn't affect the story.

[00:23:18] I'd be really curious.

[00:23:19] Yeah.

[00:23:21] Hmm.

[00:23:21] That's my answer.

[00:23:22] I love it.

[00:23:23] It's a great answer.

[00:23:26] It's an unexpected answer too.

[00:23:28] You know, it is so tough.

[00:23:31] I feel like, um, Xenophilius Lovegood maybe would be my side character that could do a good

[00:23:38] story.

[00:23:39] I think Luna is the main focus there, but she doesn't have to be the main character of

[00:23:43] this story.

[00:23:44] Yeah.

[00:23:44] But I would love to see him from his youth.

[00:23:48] Um, that'd make like a good musical life.

[00:23:51] Whoa, nice.

[00:23:52] That'd be great.

[00:23:53] A musical.

[00:23:53] Like a Xenophilius Lovegood would be like a good musical.

[00:23:56] Oh, that's funny.

[00:23:56] Of his like life and upbringing.

[00:23:58] And cause he's a rapper, XL.

[00:23:59] So yeah.

[00:24:01] He'd be a rap.

[00:24:02] Hamilton vibes.

[00:24:04] Yeah.

[00:24:04] So I feel like that would be a good one.

[00:24:06] Um, wait, what was the second question?

[00:24:10] If a one character could rewrite the series or for, if you could rewrite a perspective.

[00:24:14] One perspective.

[00:24:14] So it's gotta be close enough to this story.

[00:24:18] I think for, for the sake of things, it would be fun.

[00:24:22] I think for a little George RR Martin vibe of from an evil character's perspective.

[00:24:28] Ooh.

[00:24:28] I'm just trying to think of what evil character is evil, but you could relate to.

[00:24:34] So, uh, Mrs. Malfoy would be an interesting one.

[00:24:38] That would be great.

[00:24:39] She's involved in a lot of the darkness, but she's got good in her.

[00:24:43] Yeah.

[00:24:43] So as far as a real, like actual thinking of it leading up to the moment where she sees

[00:24:49] Harry, um, and doesn't know if he's dead or alive and then decides to be good, so to

[00:24:54] speak.

[00:24:55] Um, I think that would actually make for a fascinating story, but you'd still get exposure

[00:25:00] to a lot of already the story we like.

[00:25:02] Um, so that could be a good one, but I'm trying to think if there are other characters

[00:25:07] from the darker side of things.

[00:25:09] Um, but we would see the same thing.

[00:25:12] I feel like from a darker side of things like Voldemort that you don't know, what's the

[00:25:15] story from his perspective?

[00:25:16] Umbridge, same thing.

[00:25:18] Yeah.

[00:25:18] Like Bellatrix would be like, you know, erotic fiction.

[00:25:20] That'd be like weird.

[00:25:21] And then I think, I think Mrs. Malfoy would be the greatest person on the dark side to

[00:25:28] have their account of things.

[00:25:30] Yep.

[00:25:30] Like especially everything they went through as a family, like letting up her son, all

[00:25:34] that kind of stuff.

[00:25:34] I think that'd be great.

[00:25:35] Right.

[00:25:36] And the unbreakable bond and moments like that.

[00:25:38] Jen, you look like you have a great thought.

[00:25:40] Yeah.

[00:25:40] Yeah.

[00:25:40] What are you thinking?

[00:25:41] I'm not sure it's that great, but, um, the series is black brother that passed away.

[00:25:46] Oh, he was interesting.

[00:25:49] That would be a really good story.

[00:25:51] You're right.

[00:25:51] That would be so cool to see him on the dark side and then come to reality and see that

[00:25:56] it was.

[00:25:56] That would be so good.

[00:25:57] There would be so many intense moments in that.

[00:25:59] I know.

[00:25:59] That would be really cool.

[00:26:00] And then, uh, creature would be in it too.

[00:26:02] They must do that in HBO, right?

[00:26:04] Turning some of this into a whole, like a whole season.

[00:26:08] Yes.

[00:26:09] Cause I'm a TV producer.

[00:26:11] I know.

[00:26:12] It's like, they're gonna definitely go into that.

[00:26:15] Right?

[00:26:15] Maybe.

[00:26:16] Everyone wants them to.

[00:26:18] Cause you're talking about it.

[00:26:19] Yeah.

[00:26:19] That would be awesome.

[00:26:21] It's like people who are like diehard Harry Potter fans.

[00:26:24] You don't, we don't necessarily want another Harry Potter series.

[00:26:27] We want all the extra stuff.

[00:26:29] We want.

[00:26:29] Spin offs.

[00:26:31] Yep.

[00:26:31] It's all I want right now.

[00:26:33] Like I'm, I'm not complaining about having a Harry Potter series.

[00:26:35] It's kind of like scary if it's, how is it going to turn out?

[00:26:37] I know.

[00:26:37] Are we going to like it?

[00:26:39] There's a difference.

[00:26:40] Acting like going to be good enough?

[00:26:42] Yeah.

[00:26:42] I do think there's going to be a difference because for, you know, like for Star Wars,

[00:26:46] their original media was the three Star Wars movies that came out.

[00:26:49] And so like that, that's what they're like.

[00:26:51] Like their canon was built off of.

[00:26:53] For Harry Potter fans, we have the books when the movies are coming out simultaneously

[00:26:57] with it.

[00:26:57] We realize that there's a huge discrepancy.

[00:27:00] It's like the Game of Thrones series.

[00:27:01] Like people loved it.

[00:27:02] But toward the end they were like, Oh, this is nothing like, you know, the books aren't

[00:27:04] even out yet.

[00:27:05] So it's even different from that.

[00:27:07] With this one, it's like, there's such a discrepancy between the movies and the

[00:27:11] books that fans are, we're like excited to get another piece of media that's like

[00:27:16] Harry Potter related.

[00:27:17] Yeah.

[00:27:17] But we're not our, all of our like eggs aren't in this basket because the books have already

[00:27:22] come out and people who are diehard book fans are like, we already have this.

[00:27:25] This is okay.

[00:27:26] We want spinoff series and that's like the best thing that you could do.

[00:27:29] But if this series comes out at bombs, that's okay.

[00:27:31] If this series comes out, it does great.

[00:27:33] That's even better.

[00:27:33] We would be really excited if it did.

[00:27:35] I guess in a way it's like they can maybe go dive deeper into each book, which is something

[00:27:40] I always wanted after watching.

[00:27:42] Yes.

[00:27:43] Yeah.

[00:27:43] Agreed.

[00:27:44] Just hopefully they do it well.

[00:27:46] Yeah.

[00:27:47] Agreed.

[00:27:48] Agreed.

[00:27:48] I'm sure they will.

[00:27:50] We're all nervous for that.

[00:27:51] She's a part of the producing.

[00:27:52] Yeah, she is.

[00:27:54] Which makes the things canon, you know?

[00:27:58] Yeah.

[00:27:59] Yeah.

[00:28:00] Yeah.

[00:28:00] That'd be.

[00:28:00] Although her other book has a series too.

[00:28:03] Her other series.

[00:28:04] Really?

[00:28:05] Yeah.

[00:28:06] I didn't even know that.

[00:28:06] Yeah, you've been diving deep.

[00:28:07] Because I'm on the second book.

[00:28:09] What is that called again?

[00:28:10] And she has it on Amazon.

[00:28:12] It's really a TV series though?

[00:28:14] Yeah, BBC.

[00:28:15] No way.

[00:28:16] BBC too.

[00:28:17] Hmm.

[00:28:17] I gotta check that out.

[00:28:18] I've heard it's great.

[00:28:19] The Strike series or whatever.

[00:28:21] Yeah, Cormoran Strike.

[00:28:22] Hmm.

[00:28:22] It's totally different than, I like cannot get over, it's the same author.

[00:28:27] She wrote like similar, but like, it's not a kid's book.

[00:28:31] Yeah.

[00:28:31] Not a kid's book.

[00:28:32] And I felt like she was really throwing it in there like, look, I'm not a kid's book

[00:28:36] by a writer.

[00:28:39] So that was kind of funny.

[00:28:41] Yeah.

[00:28:41] But there, it is good.

[00:28:44] Um, what is your guys' favorite spell in the Wizarding World?

[00:28:51] Oh, I don't remember anymore.

[00:28:53] No.

[00:28:54] Well, if you do remember, it must be your favorite.

[00:28:56] Lumos.

[00:28:58] Nice.

[00:28:58] No, Expecto Patronum.

[00:29:00] It's the most practical.

[00:29:00] It's the most practical.

[00:29:01] You could do, you could do Lumos with your phone.

[00:29:03] Oh yeah, yeah, yeah.

[00:29:04] Oh yeah.

[00:29:05] Siri.

[00:29:06] Yeah.

[00:29:07] Okay, Google.

[00:29:10] Lumos.

[00:29:16] Google.

[00:29:18] Ay, ay, ay.

[00:29:19] There you go.

[00:29:20] So lame.

[00:29:21] Oh, it worked.

[00:29:22] I couldn't even see it.

[00:29:22] All right, nice.

[00:29:23] I'm glad.

[00:29:24] Um.

[00:29:25] You're so magical.

[00:29:26] So magical.

[00:29:27] I feel like, um, the first that comes to mind is Expelliarmus because Harry says it so

[00:29:33] many times.

[00:29:34] And I do kind of like it.

[00:29:36] It is a very hairy spell.

[00:29:38] It is enough to win a battle, but you're not killing anybody.

[00:29:43] Um, there's not a lot of creativity to it though.

[00:29:46] Yeah.

[00:29:46] So, I don't know.

[00:29:47] I, I feel like I wish we knew more of the spells that, uh, wordless magic Dumbledore

[00:29:54] is doing.

[00:29:54] What's about the Boggart one?

[00:29:56] What was that one?

[00:29:57] You got this.

[00:29:58] Yeah.

[00:29:58] You can get this.

[00:29:59] I know you can.

[00:29:59] Oh gosh.

[00:30:00] It was like.

[00:30:01] It's crazy.

[00:30:02] I say it sometimes when I accidentally say the word.

[00:30:04] Yeah, cause it's like a word.

[00:30:04] And then I say it.

[00:30:06] Um.

[00:30:07] It's crazy.

[00:30:07] It's like absurd.

[00:30:08] It's an absurd little word.

[00:30:10] It's.

[00:30:11] It's like excited.

[00:30:13] No, it's like.

[00:30:14] Hmm.

[00:30:17] You guys are quick.

[00:30:18] Come on, you got it.

[00:30:19] I know.

[00:30:19] Just come back to me.

[00:30:20] I'll cut out all the blank space so it looks like you get it right away.

[00:30:24] Hmm.

[00:30:26] Pfft.

[00:30:27] No, no, no.

[00:30:28] No laughing at this.

[00:30:29] Everyone has a favorite spell.

[00:30:32] Uh.

[00:30:33] Ridiculousness.

[00:30:34] Yeah.

[00:30:35] Yay.

[00:30:35] Ridiculousness.

[00:30:36] I love that.

[00:30:36] Ridiculousness.

[00:30:37] What did I add to it?

[00:30:39] Uh, the ness part.

[00:30:40] Oh yeah, because I, I liked that one.

[00:30:42] We were doing it and stuck that way.

[00:30:44] Yep.

[00:30:45] Uh.

[00:30:46] I was trying to figure that one out for this.

[00:30:49] Yeah.

[00:30:49] Silent time.

[00:30:51] They were quizzing me.

[00:30:56] I don't even know if I had a, I don't know.

[00:31:03] No spells stuck out to me.

[00:31:04] I was like, I love that spell.

[00:31:07] Well, I mean, honestly, that's fair.

[00:31:08] Yeah.

[00:31:09] It's a great, it's a great point.

[00:31:10] Sorry guys.

[00:31:11] Cause what, how about, how about just like a random bit of magic?

[00:31:14] Not even in just a spell.

[00:31:15] Like, is there, is there a bit of magic in the series that you guys thought was the

[00:31:18] coolest bit?

[00:31:19] I think, I mean like the Patronus to me is one of the obvious ones where I think that

[00:31:23] is one of the coolest bits of magic that exists in Harry Potter.

[00:31:25] That's really neat.

[00:31:27] That one really sticks with me because not only was it cool in its own way and influential

[00:31:33] to the story.

[00:31:34] Um, but I just love that there's such an emotional element to it.

[00:31:38] I feel like it lets us know how some spells are done.

[00:31:43] Um, because otherwise you're just kind of like, well, why do they have to learn?

[00:31:48] What are they doing?

[00:31:49] They're just flicking wands around.

[00:31:50] Is it how you move the wand?

[00:31:51] Is it whatever?

[00:31:52] And I feel like that spell took it to a new level of the emotion behind the spell.

[00:31:58] Um, it made it feel more complex and it was so fun seeing Harry be so good at something

[00:32:07] where you can really get psyched about him being the chosen one.

[00:32:10] Um, so I, I, yeah, obviously it has a lot of heft to it.

[00:32:16] I'm trying to think through other, other parts of the magic world.

[00:32:20] I forgot what the question was cause you talked a lot.

[00:32:23] Well, what, what's your favorite spell?

[00:32:24] That was where it started.

[00:32:25] It's over here.

[00:32:27] Um, and then like what other like, I got a lot of magic in the world.

[00:32:30] You're just so like, I get like stuck loss in your world.

[00:32:33] You're trying to make it a positive now.

[00:32:34] Okay.

[00:32:34] It was a positive.

[00:32:36] I just don't remember the question.

[00:32:38] Yeah.

[00:32:41] What, so what was the question?

[00:32:42] Um, what bits of magic do you love in the world?

[00:32:44] Oh yeah.

[00:32:45] I know.

[00:32:46] It's so cute.

[00:32:46] You just go on and on about one little thing.

[00:32:49] Oh yeah.

[00:32:49] It's adorable.

[00:32:49] Well, it's cause I hold back cause I don't want to bore you with it all day.

[00:32:51] No, you're not boring me.

[00:32:53] Now I'm just like letting it out.

[00:32:54] Everyone loves your stuff.

[00:32:56] And they want to hear all the ins and outs.

[00:32:59] Bit of magic.

[00:33:01] The, what are those dead horse things were interesting.

[00:33:04] You got this.

[00:33:05] Oh gosh.

[00:33:06] Another quiz.

[00:33:07] They're Thestrals.

[00:33:08] We're not trying to quiz you.

[00:33:09] Um, those are some of my favorite parts still.

[00:33:11] But the dead horse things are pretty cool.

[00:33:14] Oh, and I love the creatures.

[00:33:15] Like Buckbeak and stuff.

[00:33:17] Hmm.

[00:33:18] I find that like so fast.

[00:33:20] Well, that's a good way to say it.

[00:33:21] You're right.

[00:33:21] The creatures do have quite a new.

[00:33:23] Unicorns.

[00:33:23] Hmm.

[00:33:25] Like the care of magical creatures class would be so fun.

[00:33:27] So fun.

[00:33:29] I just, yeah.

[00:33:31] See, I'm learning the powers behind them.

[00:33:34] Cause some of them have like special gifts.

[00:33:36] And if you could tap into them.

[00:33:39] Yeah.

[00:33:40] Hmm.

[00:33:41] Why?

[00:33:41] What?

[00:33:41] Sorry.

[00:33:42] I'm more.

[00:33:42] No.

[00:33:45] What got you?

[00:33:47] I'm just more character driven.

[00:33:49] Yeah.

[00:33:49] Yeah.

[00:33:49] Yeah.

[00:33:50] Cause I'm like, I'm, I know it's like about magic and I'm like, I couldn't give, I don't

[00:33:56] care.

[00:33:58] Yeah.

[00:33:58] You just want another character.

[00:34:00] About the stories of the characters.

[00:34:01] About that.

[00:34:01] Yeah.

[00:34:02] Just like their journey.

[00:34:06] Yeah, sure.

[00:34:07] Yep.

[00:34:08] Okay.

[00:34:09] Um, yeah, I just, I love, well, I love like psychology.

[00:34:14] So I love the wise of like why they're doing things that they're doing.

[00:34:20] Yeah.

[00:34:21] And you got a lot of that with these characters.

[00:34:23] Yeah.

[00:34:24] Great segue question.

[00:34:25] Who is your guys favorite character?

[00:34:28] Hmm.

[00:34:29] You can do a top three or it doesn't have to be like one, two, three.

[00:34:32] It could just be three of your favorites.

[00:34:34] Have to have to keep it a three.

[00:34:35] Jen.

[00:34:36] I'm looking at you specifically.

[00:34:38] Jen is going to go.

[00:34:39] Jen is going to go.

[00:34:39] Jen, Hermione, Ron, Harry, Lupin, Tom.

[00:34:43] Yeah.

[00:34:43] I'm not going to pick.

[00:34:44] I'm indecisive.

[00:34:49] I just love Luna.

[00:34:52] Yeah.

[00:34:52] Yeah.

[00:34:53] She's a good one.

[00:34:54] She's just, um, I don't know.

[00:34:58] A hot tamale.

[00:34:59] She is very much a hot tamale.

[00:35:01] Yeah.

[00:35:02] She's just unique.

[00:35:03] She's just Luna.

[00:35:04] She's her, you know?

[00:35:05] Yeah.

[00:35:06] So she's definitely one of my top favorites.

[00:35:10] Yeah, she is great.

[00:35:11] Everything that came out of her mouth was just like a soothing, perfectly timed.

[00:35:15] Yeah.

[00:35:15] Just a sweet friend.

[00:35:17] Conversation.

[00:35:17] Yeah.

[00:35:17] Like really caring.

[00:35:19] Yep.

[00:35:21] Yeah, she is so sweet.

[00:35:22] Yeah.

[00:35:25] It's tough.

[00:35:26] I'm breaking it down book by book almost.

[00:35:28] I know.

[00:35:28] No.

[00:35:29] Because it changed a lot and then by the end it was different than how it started.

[00:35:32] But when you ask the question, I'm trying to go based on instincts.

[00:35:36] And one of the first people that come to mind was Lupin.

[00:35:39] I was just going to say that.

[00:35:40] Hmm.

[00:35:40] Oh, sorry.

[00:35:41] I didn't mean to steal it.

[00:35:42] Yeah.

[00:35:42] What's your number two?

[00:35:44] Oh, it doesn't have to be in order, but you know.

[00:35:46] I just thought Ginny was like a funny character.

[00:35:49] Oh yeah.

[00:35:50] Yeah.

[00:35:51] She's so great.

[00:35:51] And then I went to, well only in the books.

[00:35:54] Yeah.

[00:35:55] He's in that movie.

[00:35:56] He's not existing.

[00:35:59] And then Lupin because he's the most memorable like professor for me.

[00:36:04] Yep.

[00:36:04] Cause he like kind of took Harry and like taught him so much and then continues like protecting

[00:36:09] him as the books go on.

[00:36:12] Hmm.

[00:36:12] Mm hmm.

[00:36:15] There was another one that I can't think of.

[00:36:17] Hmm.

[00:36:19] It's funny that to me, the Weasley family almost feels like its own character.

[00:36:25] Hmm.

[00:36:25] Like them collectively.

[00:36:27] Yeah, seriously they do.

[00:36:27] Um, because there is a lot of similar energy.

[00:36:30] They are a family and it feels unfair to call it out as any one of them because it's

[00:36:37] just that feeling of being in the borough that I'm trying to give credit to that home, that

[00:36:41] family that Harry never had.

[00:36:43] Um, so Lupin comes to mind and then the Weasleys.

[00:36:49] Mm hmm.

[00:36:50] I don't know what a third person here.

[00:36:52] Everyone I think of then I come up with the reasons why they are.

[00:36:56] I know.

[00:36:56] I don't know.

[00:36:56] I don't know.

[00:36:57] I don't know.

[00:36:58] And then Dobby, he's like, he's just like a sweet, innocent character.

[00:37:04] Yeah.

[00:37:04] Hmm.

[00:37:05] And I feel like everything he does was like for good.

[00:37:08] Like he didn't really have any faults and if they were, it was just like helping people.

[00:37:13] Right.

[00:37:14] Yeah.

[00:37:14] He was annoying in the second book for sure.

[00:37:16] Oh, that's right.

[00:37:17] See, I forget some of the stuff.

[00:37:18] Yeah.

[00:37:19] Yeah.

[00:37:19] He was super annoying actually.

[00:37:21] Maybe I take it.

[00:37:22] But like he is really genuinely he's trying to help though.

[00:37:26] But he just doesn't know.

[00:37:27] Yep.

[00:37:27] He's not helping at all.

[00:37:29] Yeah.

[00:37:30] He doesn't really.

[00:37:31] Right.

[00:37:33] Hagrid.

[00:37:34] Maybe I swap it out.

[00:37:35] I thought about that.

[00:37:36] He's a good one.

[00:37:36] I'm going to say McGonagall instead.

[00:37:38] Oh, she's good too.

[00:37:39] Oh, that's my fourth and fifth.

[00:37:41] Yeah.

[00:37:41] Classic.

[00:37:45] I have like Luna though a lot.

[00:37:47] I like that.

[00:37:47] Yeah.

[00:37:48] Yeah.

[00:37:50] Um.

[00:37:52] This looks weird.

[00:37:54] Sorry.

[00:37:55] I'm like trying to figure out this crochet thing.

[00:37:57] It's driving me nuts.

[00:37:57] But I, I also love Mrs. Weasley.

[00:38:00] Yeah.

[00:38:00] When you were talking about the family.

[00:38:02] Yeah.

[00:38:02] I'm like she, I always commented on her.

[00:38:05] I loved her.

[00:38:07] I think cause it's like you got the motherly vibe from her.

[00:38:09] So true.

[00:38:10] You know?

[00:38:11] There was no one else, right?

[00:38:13] Besides her.

[00:38:14] Yeah.

[00:38:15] I was trying to think.

[00:38:15] McGonagall, but she's more to her.

[00:38:18] Yeah.

[00:38:18] Yeah.

[00:38:19] No one compared to her.

[00:38:20] And then at the end when she cursed at Bellatrix.

[00:38:24] Not my daughter.

[00:38:25] Yeah.

[00:38:26] It was a great line.

[00:38:27] That actually, yeah.

[00:38:30] Ditto too.

[00:38:31] Or even I'm thinking of the moment.

[00:38:33] All yours ditto.

[00:38:34] And all yours ditto.

[00:38:34] Isn't she the one who stood up first and got mad at Sirius to say, don't you dare think

[00:38:40] you're the only person who cares about her?

[00:38:42] Yeah.

[00:38:42] So good.

[00:38:43] And that moment of just like, it's not only warm mom, but like mama bear.

[00:38:48] Yeah.

[00:38:48] Like I will fight for this boy.

[00:38:50] Right.

[00:38:51] Um, yeah.

[00:38:52] She is such a, you know, she's like very, like a little too mom-ish cause she worries

[00:38:56] about character so much, but she really is such like a reasonable person in the series.

[00:39:01] I know.

[00:39:01] But that's what I'm saying.

[00:39:02] I love that so much.

[00:39:04] Like everyone's mom here.

[00:39:07] I think it's just so great that she does that because everyone else is coming up with

[00:39:13] plots and plans and she is literally just trying to keep everyone safe.

[00:39:16] She's like the only person in the series really trying to do that.

[00:39:18] Yeah.

[00:39:19] Yeah.

[00:39:20] Such a mom thing.

[00:39:21] I love it.

[00:39:21] How much danger they're in.

[00:39:25] Oh, it's so good.

[00:39:26] There's always, there's gotta be a spell.

[00:39:28] Like just put a bubble on them while they're like toddlers.

[00:39:32] Wouldn't be a podcast without a Christian verb.

[00:39:34] Yeah.

[00:39:34] That's necessary.

[00:39:39] Yeah.

[00:39:40] There's so many good characters in the book too.

[00:39:42] Um, I mean, level is definitely one of mine.

[00:39:44] Lupin's probably mine.

[00:39:45] Oh my gosh.

[00:39:46] I totally forgot about Neville.

[00:39:48] I know.

[00:39:48] Wow.

[00:39:49] I'm excited if you guys do this for a second time.

[00:39:51] No, like not in a.

[00:39:52] Yeah.

[00:39:53] Me too.

[00:39:53] I'm excited.

[00:39:54] Did you not say Tonks?

[00:39:56] And Tonks is my third.

[00:39:58] Oh.

[00:39:58] Yeah.

[00:39:59] Those are probably my top three.

[00:40:00] Oh, it hurts.

[00:40:01] Even when I say Lupin.

[00:40:02] It would be cool to say Lupin.

[00:40:03] I had to say Lupin because it had an impact.

[00:40:06] Yeah.

[00:40:06] But by the end, my opinion of him has shifted a little.

[00:40:09] Yeah, absolutely.

[00:40:10] Oh, because the dad thing.

[00:40:11] Yeah.

[00:40:12] Like just some of the stuff in the end, it just kind of changed, but I'm still sticking

[00:40:16] to it the early days of Lupin and he was still good in the end, but not, not as.

[00:40:23] And I do really think that's why this is a really good series too, is because the characters

[00:40:27] do have a lot of change.

[00:40:28] Yeah.

[00:40:28] Other arcs like Lupin is different from book three than he is book, you know, seven or six.

[00:40:33] Same thing as Ollie there.

[00:40:34] It really did.

[00:40:35] Yeah.

[00:40:35] I like it.

[00:40:36] Harry has huge character arcs.

[00:40:37] It would be cool to reread it and see, like knowing the end, you could focus on like other

[00:40:41] parts of it.

[00:40:42] Yeah, seriously.

[00:40:42] Which is, I mean, that's another interesting question.

[00:40:45] If you guys reread this, what do you, what would you think your main like focus would

[00:40:51] be?

[00:40:52] Would you focus on like one or two characters?

[00:40:53] Would you just do it out of pure enjoyment again?

[00:40:57] I would look for hints about what's his name.

[00:41:00] Definitely.

[00:41:01] Yeah.

[00:41:01] That fits you.

[00:41:02] Yeah.

[00:41:02] Dumbledore and Snape would be my character focuses.

[00:41:05] Yeah.

[00:41:06] Um, but I would just, I think I would focus on the warmth of being back in the world.

[00:41:10] Yeah.

[00:41:11] Um, it's funny though.

[00:41:14] Dumbledore, I viewed him as being, it feels like throughout the series he was saying, Oh

[00:41:20] no, I'm not that good.

[00:41:22] Um, no, no, no, no.

[00:41:24] You know, like he would say random things and I would take it as being humble.

[00:41:28] Mm hmm.

[00:41:28] But by the end of the series, I was like, Oh no, he was kind of telling us all along,

[00:41:32] like he's not that good or he's acted selfishly or I should have told you all along,

[00:41:37] Harry, I kept this from you and I was wrong.

[00:41:39] And, Oh my gosh.

[00:41:40] And so I think in the end I did find myself still a little bitter towards him.

[00:41:45] And I want to read that in light of everything we know and see how it affects the way I view

[00:41:50] him as a character.

[00:41:51] Um, I think it'll be good because he's so warm at the beginning that it would help remind

[00:42:00] me of the things I love about Dumbledore.

[00:42:02] But then I also might read it with too much skepticism and then say, Oh wow, I really do

[00:42:08] think he's a little bit too selfish.

[00:42:11] So I'm curious.

[00:42:12] I actually don't know how I'm going to view him coming from the man who liked Umbridge

[00:42:19] or didn't mind her.

[00:42:20] I should say I'll be corrected.

[00:42:23] Yeah, so true.

[00:42:27] Danny's gonna read it.

[00:42:28] He's like gonna be like, I really love Umbridge.

[00:42:31] She's just such a good character.

[00:42:36] Which is okay.

[00:42:37] So that you guys are actually like another good point.

[00:42:40] What is, what is your guys favorite?

[00:42:42] Like, I guess, location in the books.

[00:42:44] Or like series of chapters or like what's, what's like your favorite spot in the books

[00:42:50] that you just are like looking forward to returning to?

[00:42:56] My snowy scenes at Hogwarts.

[00:42:58] Yeah, they're so cozy.

[00:43:00] I like my cozy scenes.

[00:43:01] I like Christmas time.

[00:43:03] Mm-hmm.

[00:43:04] Yeah, that's always your favorite moment was like, I like when they're just sitting

[00:43:07] together in a cozy wintery scene.

[00:43:09] Yep.

[00:43:11] Forget everything else.

[00:43:14] Significant plot developments.

[00:43:15] Yeah.

[00:43:16] Yeah, whatever.

[00:43:17] They're hanging out doing homework in the common room.

[00:43:19] Yeah.

[00:43:20] There are so many places that are warm and cozy to me now.

[00:43:23] Mm-hmm.

[00:43:23] But, the first, Diagon Alley.

[00:43:27] Yeah.

[00:43:28] Second, The Burrow.

[00:43:29] Third, Hogsmeade.

[00:43:31] Oh, yeah.

[00:43:31] And I feel like in general, Hogwarts is true.

[00:43:34] But, there are moments in the common room that feel warm.

[00:43:40] But, because Hogwarts still feels so big.

[00:43:43] When I'm picturing the warmth of Hogwarts, a testament to the video game.

[00:43:47] Mm-hmm.

[00:43:47] I'm picturing the video game.

[00:43:48] Yeah, same.

[00:43:49] The video game makes it-

[00:43:50] So good.

[00:43:51] So good.

[00:43:52] Like, it is so magical.

[00:43:53] You feel like you're there.

[00:43:55] It is like, I'm down with this.

[00:43:57] But, when reading the books, I didn't necessarily pick up on all of that.

[00:44:00] There were moments of it, but not compared to the coolness and intrigue of Diagon Alley.

[00:44:06] Yeah.

[00:44:07] The warmth of the burrow.

[00:44:08] Um, the field trip vibes of Hogsmeade.

[00:44:12] Um, so those are the ones that stand out to me.

[00:44:15] What were your highlight spots?

[00:44:18] Well, you don't even know if you're gonna read it a second time.

[00:44:20] But, if, what would be the thing that pulls you into reading it a second time the most?

[00:44:25] Like, if you had to pick out a series of chapters.

[00:44:29] That's like, so hard.

[00:44:31] I know.

[00:44:31] I don't think of them, because remember how I like to skip scenes?

[00:44:35] Right, so-

[00:44:35] And I just wanted to know about what happened next.

[00:44:38] You're such a plot-driven reader.

[00:44:40] I would like, stop describing the details.

[00:44:44] Even though it's funny because I'm very detail-oriented.

[00:44:48] So, it's weird that I don't like reading a page.

[00:44:51] That is so funny.

[00:44:51] The mystery gotcha.

[00:44:52] She does that in her second series, too.

[00:44:54] Yeah?

[00:44:55] You're just like, get to the plot.

[00:44:57] Yeah.

[00:45:02] Um, I like the ones you said.

[00:45:04] Like, Hogsmeade would be an interesting one.

[00:45:07] Um, Taigano.

[00:45:09] I don't know.

[00:45:10] I mean...

[00:45:12] All I'm picturing is like, Warner Bros.

[00:45:13] The Universal Studios.

[00:45:15] Yeah, the lot.

[00:45:15] Seriously, yeah.

[00:45:16] Mm.

[00:45:17] Which was really neat.

[00:45:19] Um, yeah.

[00:45:22] And then some of those rooms I feel like would just be interesting, too.

[00:45:26] Like, um...

[00:45:29] What's the...

[00:45:29] The...

[00:45:29] Not the Vanishing Room.

[00:45:31] Yeah, the Vanishing Room.

[00:45:32] No.

[00:45:32] Yeah, Room of Requirement.

[00:45:33] Yeah, that.

[00:45:34] Ooh, yeah.

[00:45:35] That's a great spot.

[00:45:36] That is.

[00:45:36] I'm like, oh, that's like so cool.

[00:45:37] You could just picture like however you want it to be and it just appears.

[00:45:41] Mm-hmm.

[00:45:41] Just roam around all day there.

[00:45:43] Yep.

[00:45:44] Is that in the video game?

[00:45:47] Yes.

[00:45:48] Yeah.

[00:45:48] Very much so, in fact.

[00:45:49] Oh, I forgot.

[00:45:50] I could be playing that.

[00:45:51] I know.

[00:45:52] Seriously, you could be roaming around the castle.

[00:45:53] You already made your character and everything.

[00:45:55] That's a perfect hobby for surgery recovery.

[00:45:58] Yes.

[00:45:59] There you go.

[00:46:00] Perfect.

[00:46:00] And you don't have to spend any money while you do that.

[00:46:03] Her other hobby is shopping, so...

[00:46:06] I'm like, oh, no, no.

[00:46:07] I'm not even kidding.

[00:46:08] If you live stream your playthrough of the video game, you get thousands of people watching

[00:46:14] that.

[00:46:15] I don't even...

[00:46:16] Like, what?

[00:46:17] You put it on the video game and then I have to...

[00:46:21] Yeah.

[00:46:21] I just feel like you're heading in the little corner in the video game on the main screen.

[00:46:24] Oh.

[00:46:25] Danny knows how to do all that.

[00:46:26] You guys...

[00:46:26] It would be perfect.

[00:46:28] Yeah, you'd crush it.

[00:46:29] You would just see me getting so mad when I mess up.

[00:46:33] God.

[00:46:34] It was so good.

[00:46:35] It was great.

[00:46:36] And honestly, you just got started.

[00:46:38] So...

[00:46:39] It's true.

[00:46:39] I barely got...

[00:46:40] You still have some of the best moments of the movie.

[00:46:41] It was really fun, but I like being with someone playing it.

[00:46:45] Yeah, yeah.

[00:46:46] You can both do it.

[00:46:47] That'd be great.

[00:46:48] I wish I had a co-op mode.

[00:46:49] That'd be so fun.

[00:46:50] Oh, that would be great.

[00:46:51] Oh my gosh.

[00:46:51] That's alright.

[00:46:52] Yeah.

[00:46:52] Maybe soon.

[00:46:53] Then all of us can play together.

[00:46:55] That'd be a game too.

[00:46:56] Yeah, that's true.

[00:46:58] But yeah, that would be...

[00:47:01] Maybe I would have more opinions if I read a second time.

[00:47:06] Yeah.

[00:47:06] Of where I would like to go.

[00:47:10] That is kind of like another question too.

[00:47:13] Also, if you hear any chewing in the background, Wes has been chewing his bone for the entire

[00:47:17] podcast.

[00:47:18] Wow.

[00:47:19] Well done.

[00:47:19] Some of our listeners really love that.

[00:47:22] Yeah, I know.

[00:47:23] A lot of ASMR right there.

[00:47:24] Like extra sound.

[00:47:26] I couldn't get over it.

[00:47:27] I know.

[00:47:28] People aren't going to be able to want to...

[00:47:29] They're not going to want to listen to this episode.

[00:47:32] It's the last one.

[00:47:33] You have to.

[00:47:34] I know.

[00:47:35] You're obligated to.

[00:47:38] But yeah, we can do it.

[00:47:39] This is pivoting the whole discussion a little bit.

[00:47:41] We'll go back to Harry Potter at the end in the last few minutes.

[00:47:44] But did you guys like podcasting?

[00:47:46] Was there...

[00:47:47] Someone wants to know...

[00:47:49] Cause I...

[00:47:50] It was funny like me working this with you guys, like knowing you guys too.

[00:47:53] Were there ever points where you just wanted to like not do this anymore?

[00:47:56] Did you really enjoy it?

[00:47:57] What was like...

[00:47:58] Were there parts where you didn't like at the start and you started to really like it?

[00:48:02] And do you think you're going to do this more in the future?

[00:48:05] it

[00:48:06] depends

[00:48:11] Kristen's like I am out

[00:48:12] I'm retiring

[00:48:13] it was fun while it lasted

[00:48:17] in case I didn't see her

[00:48:19] good afternoon good evening

[00:48:22] no that wasn't

[00:48:24] you guys go first

[00:48:25] I think you enjoyed it for a while

[00:48:27] no I loved it

[00:48:28] you go first

[00:48:30] I think well like I said

[00:48:33] previously on these things

[00:48:34] that I just started getting into reading

[00:48:37] I never finished that many books

[00:48:38] because I would start and just stop

[00:48:41] but I find it so fun

[00:48:43] to discuss chapters

[00:48:45] and things that happen

[00:48:46] I'm like oh this is what book club's all about

[00:48:49] what was I missing this whole time

[00:48:50] because it's fun to dissect that part

[00:48:54] I guess it just

[00:48:55] depended on what was going on in life

[00:48:57] where I was like if I was busy

[00:48:59] I'm like oh now I gotta go

[00:49:00] record it

[00:49:02] and like it was

[00:49:03] I enjoyed it when I was here

[00:49:05] but I might have

[00:49:06] dreaded coming

[00:49:07] and I'm like

[00:49:08] you did always say that

[00:49:09] I'm like it's kind of like

[00:49:10] going to the gym

[00:49:11] or something

[00:49:12] where I'm like dreading going

[00:49:13] but then I feel good after

[00:49:14] I was like yeah

[00:49:17] so there's

[00:49:18] there were moments of those

[00:49:19] and your work schedule was tough too

[00:49:21] like if you knew you had to get up early

[00:49:23] you're like oh man

[00:49:24] especially because you were in between jobs

[00:49:25] sometimes too

[00:49:26] yeah

[00:49:26] my shifts were so crazy

[00:49:29] so that was hard

[00:49:33] and then it was funny

[00:49:34] in the beginning

[00:49:35] was funny to see how censored

[00:49:37] and like weird it felt

[00:49:39] and then how now at the end

[00:49:41] I'm like I don't care

[00:49:42] if there's cameras here

[00:49:43] right I was thinking that too

[00:49:45] we were so self conscious

[00:49:46] wait can I say

[00:49:47] what

[00:49:48] I don't know

[00:49:49] re-listen

[00:49:50] can you delete stuff

[00:49:51] like

[00:49:52] crop it

[00:49:52] yeah crop it was always a thing

[00:49:54] oh yeah

[00:49:54] no we don't care

[00:49:56] just say whatever

[00:49:58] but I think it's fun

[00:50:00] I feel like if people are curious about it

[00:50:01] they should just try it

[00:50:02] yeah

[00:50:03] because I think

[00:50:04] you know

[00:50:05] it's fun getting people together

[00:50:07] and talking about

[00:50:07] a common interest

[00:50:09] yep

[00:50:09] well that's one of the things

[00:50:11] I mean obviously to answer the question

[00:50:13] I loved it

[00:50:14] through and through

[00:50:15] I would look through

[00:50:15] no

[00:50:16] but when people would ask about it

[00:50:20] I would always say

[00:50:21] just do it

[00:50:23] because it's kind of like

[00:50:24] there's something great about it

[00:50:26] that it's time with friends

[00:50:28] time with people you care about

[00:50:29] with a very

[00:50:33] intentional goal

[00:50:34] so it ends up being the perfect balance of things

[00:50:37] where you have scheduled time

[00:50:39] it's therapeutic

[00:50:40] it's fun

[00:50:42] and you're on like

[00:50:44] a bit of a mission together

[00:50:45] you're on a journey together

[00:50:47] so it's

[00:50:48] the podcast was our mountain troll

[00:50:50] you know

[00:50:52] and so

[00:50:53] it's like then

[00:50:54] that's what

[00:50:55] it's the

[00:50:55] it's what forges our friendship

[00:50:57] you know

[00:50:58] in a lot of ways

[00:50:59] and that especially for us

[00:51:00] because it was our relationship

[00:51:02] oh yeah

[00:51:02] so then

[00:51:03] I feel like that to me

[00:51:04] was the bonus magic

[00:51:06] of all of it

[00:51:07] is that

[00:51:08] I can't isolate

[00:51:09] any of the factors here

[00:51:10] the time together

[00:51:11] the friendship

[00:51:12] the story

[00:51:13] the characters

[00:51:14] the podcasting element

[00:51:16] there were so many unique things

[00:51:18] about the experience

[00:51:19] that I just say

[00:51:21] anyone should do it

[00:51:23] but doing what we did

[00:51:25] especially we have a crush on someone

[00:51:26] well especially then

[00:51:27] there you go

[00:51:28] I have the seven books

[00:51:28] in two years

[00:51:29] Danny you should write a book

[00:51:30] honestly

[00:51:31] start a podcast

[00:51:32] if you have a crush

[00:51:34] just start a podcast

[00:51:35] lock them in

[00:51:36] it's really long

[00:51:37] I'll never

[00:51:38] dedicate two years

[00:51:40] but that's the thing

[00:51:41] that's so tough

[00:51:42] do you want to read

[00:51:42] Harry Potter together

[00:51:43] I know

[00:51:43] on a whim

[00:51:44] at whatever

[00:51:44] 2am

[00:51:46] the whole thing

[00:51:47] was so funny

[00:51:48] and then all of a sudden

[00:51:48] Jen texts me

[00:51:49] and I'm like

[00:51:50] great

[00:51:50] I know someone

[00:51:51] that would love

[00:51:52] to know

[00:51:52] that we're reading this

[00:51:53] thank you for telling me

[00:51:55] so good

[00:51:57] yeah

[00:51:58] that's so funny

[00:51:59] not that I forgot

[00:52:00] but it's like

[00:52:01] such a part of our story

[00:52:03] that that's like

[00:52:04] really cool too

[00:52:05] like the

[00:52:05] yeah

[00:52:05] oh yeah

[00:52:07] it really is fun

[00:52:08] because the whole thing

[00:52:09] is documented

[00:52:10] and it was fun

[00:52:11] like keeping that

[00:52:11] secret from everyone

[00:52:12] and all of a sudden

[00:52:13] people

[00:52:14] like people were

[00:52:15] there was hilarious

[00:52:17] comments

[00:52:17] in like our reddit

[00:52:19] there was a post

[00:52:19] before

[00:52:20] of

[00:52:21] someone was like

[00:52:22] Jen seems really annoyed

[00:52:24] with the guy

[00:52:25] sometimes during the podcast

[00:52:28] and

[00:52:28] there was like

[00:52:29] 20 comments

[00:52:30] under it

[00:52:30] everyone was like

[00:52:31] just wait

[00:52:32] dot dot dot

[00:52:35] it was so funny

[00:52:36] because I think

[00:52:37] there was like

[00:52:37] an episode

[00:52:38] where like

[00:52:38] me and Danny

[00:52:39] just kept going

[00:52:40] on and on and on

[00:52:41] I think you were

[00:52:41] just like guys

[00:52:42] let's wrap it up

[00:52:43] come on

[00:52:45] just wait

[00:52:46] oh that's so funny

[00:52:47] because they're

[00:52:47] new listeners

[00:52:48] yeah

[00:52:48] new listeners

[00:52:49] commenting on like

[00:52:50] yeah

[00:52:50] if people start

[00:52:51] from scratch

[00:52:52] it's so fun

[00:52:53] getting to the point

[00:52:54] where they're at

[00:52:55] in like the

[00:52:56] I think

[00:52:56] in a book six

[00:52:58] we start

[00:52:58] and we're like

[00:52:59] hey by the way

[00:52:59] Jen and Danny

[00:53:00] you guys are engaged

[00:53:01] you know

[00:53:01] so fun

[00:53:02] you guys are married

[00:53:03] now

[00:53:04] it's like

[00:53:04] yeah it's great

[00:53:05] the hidden

[00:53:05] like

[00:53:06] subtle

[00:53:07] people picking up

[00:53:09] on the subtext

[00:53:09] people were reading it

[00:53:10] yeah

[00:53:10] there's like a

[00:53:11] there's a story

[00:53:12] within our podcast

[00:53:13] that's so fun

[00:53:14] yep

[00:53:15] I'm not gonna have

[00:53:16] to re-listen to ours

[00:53:17] yeah

[00:53:18] right

[00:53:18] you should

[00:53:20] as you read through

[00:53:21] for the second time

[00:53:22] you can listen

[00:53:23] through for the first time

[00:53:24] I need a little break

[00:53:25] guys

[00:53:26] alright

[00:53:26] we'll start next

[00:53:27] I'm also in her other series

[00:53:29] which is also

[00:53:30] ridiculously long too

[00:53:32] really

[00:53:32] how many books are in it

[00:53:33] it is

[00:53:34] I think nine books

[00:53:35] whoa

[00:53:36] nine

[00:53:36] is she finished with it

[00:53:37] I think

[00:53:37] I don't think so

[00:53:38] but I'm not sure

[00:53:40] because I haven't

[00:53:40] we'll get into that one

[00:53:41] because she has at least

[00:53:42] seven

[00:53:42] and they're the same way

[00:53:44] where they start small

[00:53:45] and then they're massive

[00:53:46] like encyclopedias

[00:53:49] I'm like

[00:53:49] what the heck

[00:53:50] but you love it

[00:53:51] I've got lots to say

[00:53:52] you are such a reader now

[00:53:54] yes

[00:53:54] seriously

[00:53:55] I'm only listening

[00:53:56] to audiobooks

[00:53:57] but that's reading

[00:53:58] yeah it's reading

[00:53:59] yeah maybe

[00:54:00] wow

[00:54:00] and I will say

[00:54:01] maybe if they're a good reader

[00:54:02] on audiobooks

[00:54:03] because both of us agreed

[00:54:04] because we're doing

[00:54:05] reading the goldfinch now

[00:54:06] and that reader is terrible

[00:54:07] but

[00:54:08] Andy Serkis

[00:54:09] on Lord of the Rings

[00:54:10] I literally listened

[00:54:11] to the first

[00:54:12] 20 seconds of it

[00:54:13] and I am so hooked

[00:54:15] he is

[00:54:17] such a good

[00:54:17] people

[00:54:18] the only

[00:54:19] the only complaint

[00:54:20] that people have of him

[00:54:20] is that he makes

[00:54:21] everything too dramatic

[00:54:23] like

[00:54:23] he's like

[00:54:24] when you're reading

[00:54:25] through like a boring line

[00:54:26] he's trying to make it dramatic

[00:54:27] and people are like

[00:54:28] it just gets a little

[00:54:29] annoying after a while

[00:54:30] that makes sense

[00:54:30] but the first 20 seconds

[00:54:32] the line where he's reading

[00:54:33] yeah me too

[00:54:34] I love it

[00:54:35] the first 20 seconds

[00:54:36] he's reading

[00:54:37] yeah

[00:54:37] because he reads

[00:54:39] the inscription

[00:54:39] on one ring

[00:54:40] to rule them all

[00:54:40] and I'm sitting there

[00:54:41] listening

[00:54:41] and I was like

[00:54:42] sweating

[00:54:43] when he was reading that

[00:54:44] which is a whole

[00:54:45] different thing

[00:54:46] for everyone

[00:54:46] everyone wondering

[00:54:47] we are starting

[00:54:48] a Lord of the Rings

[00:54:51] fellowship of the first time readers

[00:54:53] we're getting into that

[00:54:54] so we're doing more podcasting

[00:54:56] don't worry

[00:54:57] getting into that

[00:54:59] Kristen is

[00:55:00] yeah

[00:55:00] she's retiring

[00:55:00] and Kristen loves podcasting

[00:55:01] so

[00:55:02] Kristen is welcome back

[00:55:03] anytime

[00:55:09] see I'm not

[00:55:10] the biggest talker

[00:55:13] if you ask me

[00:55:14] pointed questions

[00:55:15] I can answer them

[00:55:16] but

[00:55:16] I don't

[00:55:17] expound on

[00:55:18] I'm not you

[00:55:19] Danny

[00:55:21] but

[00:55:21] no

[00:55:22] this was like

[00:55:22] a really

[00:55:23] really fun experience

[00:55:24] it was something

[00:55:24] different

[00:55:25] it pulled me

[00:55:26] out of my comfort zone

[00:55:30] because if you

[00:55:31] asked me

[00:55:31] like a couple years ago

[00:55:32] if I was gonna do this

[00:55:34] I'd be like

[00:55:34] no

[00:55:34] I don't wanna talk

[00:55:36] in front of people

[00:55:37] no thanks

[00:55:39] but no

[00:55:40] if you wanna do it

[00:55:41] I definitely

[00:55:42] say

[00:55:43] go for it

[00:55:44] just try it out

[00:55:44] it doesn't hurt to try

[00:55:45] and like

[00:55:47] it was so cool

[00:55:47] getting to know you guys better

[00:55:49] you know

[00:55:49] it's like

[00:55:50] we all met

[00:55:50] the book club

[00:55:51] and

[00:55:51] and then it was just like

[00:55:53] a closer

[00:55:54] friendship building

[00:55:55] so

[00:55:56] it was

[00:55:56] in that aspect

[00:55:57] it was really special

[00:55:59] you destroying

[00:56:00] my reading plan

[00:56:02] just

[00:56:03] just slightly

[00:56:04] it was such a

[00:56:05] just by like

[00:56:05] a year and a half

[00:56:06] I was just

[00:56:06] I was like

[00:56:07] telling the people

[00:56:08] that I work with

[00:56:08] I was

[00:56:10] oh cause

[00:56:10] Halloween

[00:56:11] I was a Ravenclaw student

[00:56:12] oh that's awesome

[00:56:13] and so I came up

[00:56:14] and I was like

[00:56:14] yeah

[00:56:15] ended up doing a podcast

[00:56:16] I was like

[00:56:17] you know

[00:56:17] it was a whole thing

[00:56:18] I made a reading schedule

[00:56:19] that got destroyed

[00:56:21] reading schedule

[00:56:22] was what

[00:56:23] seven months

[00:56:23] was that what it was

[00:56:24] a book a month

[00:56:25] yeah

[00:56:25] it was

[00:56:26] I think it was

[00:56:27] June

[00:56:27] and it probably

[00:56:28] would have worked

[00:56:29] yeah

[00:56:29] it would have worked

[00:56:30] great

[00:56:31] and then we would have

[00:56:32] been at Disney already

[00:56:33] I know

[00:56:34] my bad

[00:56:35] my bad guys

[00:56:36] I always say that

[00:56:37] cause I went to both

[00:56:38] the same time

[00:56:39] yeah

[00:56:40] we'll go

[00:56:41] Universal

[00:56:42] whatever

[00:56:43] we got to go to Scotland

[00:56:44] so that was cool

[00:56:45] yeah exactly

[00:56:45] exactly

[00:56:46] positive

[00:56:46] silver linings

[00:56:47] so true

[00:56:48] and after we do a second time read

[00:56:50] and we get Lauren and Brandon

[00:56:51] or someone else

[00:56:52] then we'll go

[00:56:52] oh that'd be fun

[00:56:53] well

[00:56:53] I still think Lauren and Brandon

[00:56:56] we gotta get them roped in

[00:56:57] and then I was thinking

[00:56:59] your sister's new

[00:57:01] friend

[00:57:02] has he read

[00:57:04] Harry Potter

[00:57:05] oh that's a fascinating idea

[00:57:07] I'm gonna ask him

[00:57:08] I should text him

[00:57:10] oh actually

[00:57:10] they would be really fun

[00:57:12] cause I still think

[00:57:13] for your relationship

[00:57:15] Harry Potter and the podcast

[00:57:17] cause I think

[00:57:19] she would be so

[00:57:20] good

[00:57:21] on this podcast

[00:57:22] so like

[00:57:24] energetic

[00:57:24] and articulate

[00:57:25] they would crush

[00:57:27] very much so

[00:57:29] on the second half

[00:57:32] what's that word again

[00:57:35] I'm gonna text him right now

[00:57:37] it works for relationships

[00:57:38] I guess

[00:57:38] so

[00:57:41] yeah

[00:57:41] so yeah

[00:57:42] I mean everyone is asking

[00:57:44] that's like the biggest question

[00:57:45] that we get

[00:57:45] cause people

[00:57:45] people want us to do other stuff

[00:57:47] and series

[00:57:47] and stuff like that

[00:57:48] yeah they want us to

[00:57:49] relationships

[00:57:51] but we are

[00:57:52] we are planning other stuff

[00:57:53] so don't worry

[00:57:53] there will be

[00:57:54] more series in the future

[00:57:55] there's more first time reader

[00:57:57] series in the future

[00:57:58] did you

[00:57:59] are you still doing

[00:58:00] I told Danny

[00:58:00] but I haven't told you guys

[00:58:02] I just started with my niece

[00:58:03] cause she just turned 11

[00:58:04] or she's turning 11

[00:58:05] this week

[00:58:06] so

[00:58:07] last Friday

[00:58:08] she came over

[00:58:09] and we recorded

[00:58:09] a 10 minute episode

[00:58:10] about what she expects

[00:58:11] from the series

[00:58:12] like

[00:58:12] like how

[00:58:13] is she excited

[00:58:14] to read it

[00:58:15] and then we went

[00:58:15] to the Bronx Zoo

[00:58:16] and we just hung out

[00:58:17] for the day

[00:58:17] oh that's really sweet

[00:58:19] the greatest thing ever

[00:58:20] you guys got to go

[00:58:20] go to the zoo

[00:58:21] it was the coolest

[00:58:22] experience

[00:58:23] I'll sell it after

[00:58:24] but it was all fun

[00:58:25] I haven't been there

[00:58:26] since like middle school

[00:58:27] but it was unbelievable

[00:58:28] it's funny

[00:58:29] the middle school

[00:58:29] literally just went there

[00:58:30] yeah

[00:58:31] it was so good though

[00:58:32] the place where you had

[00:58:33] boots on that were

[00:58:33] hurting your feet

[00:58:34] oh nice

[00:58:35] and then we took a picture

[00:58:36] and some animals

[00:58:37] were not outside

[00:58:37] we started Harry Potter though

[00:58:38] because we took a picture

[00:58:39] of the snake

[00:58:39] and we sent it to them

[00:58:41] yeah

[00:58:41] my

[00:58:42] weirdly

[00:58:42] the only animal

[00:58:44] that my niece

[00:58:44] really gravitated toward

[00:58:45] was the

[00:58:46] bow constrictor

[00:58:48] she was like

[00:58:48] yeah

[00:58:49] she was like

[00:58:49] it was like

[00:58:50] following her finger

[00:58:51] it was crazy

[00:58:52] I was like

[00:58:55] are you speaking

[00:58:56] to the snake right now

[00:58:59] did you ever take

[00:59:00] a house test yet

[00:59:01] no not yet

[00:59:02] I'm gonna wait

[00:59:02] until she gets

[00:59:04] to that point

[00:59:04] in the books

[00:59:05] okay

[00:59:05] and this will be

[00:59:06] this will be a series

[00:59:08] that happens over

[00:59:08] seven years

[00:59:09] so she's gonna read

[00:59:10] a book a year

[00:59:10] oh wow

[00:59:11] so it's gonna be like

[00:59:12] oh that's so cute

[00:59:14] wait she doesn't know anything

[00:59:16] no nothing

[00:59:17] really

[00:59:17] so her age too

[00:59:18] the hardest part will be

[00:59:20] when she's really into it

[00:59:21] yeah

[00:59:22] or with other kids

[00:59:23] holding back

[00:59:23] and not mentioning it

[00:59:24] to anyone else

[00:59:25] who is a reader

[00:59:26] around her

[00:59:26] what I'm hoping is

[00:59:28] eventually it turns into

[00:59:29] maybe some of her friends

[00:59:31] jump in on the podcast

[00:59:32] or like jumping on

[00:59:33] at least reading it with her

[00:59:34] where they read one book

[00:59:36] together

[00:59:36] and they stop

[00:59:37] and they don't read

[00:59:38] the next one

[00:59:39] until they're a year older

[00:59:40] I don't know

[00:59:41] if that's gonna work

[00:59:42] out very well

[00:59:42] but I'm like

[00:59:43] that the hype

[00:59:44] around that

[00:59:44] where like

[00:59:45] even if I can get them

[00:59:46] what grade is this

[00:59:46] for this age

[00:59:47] so she's going

[00:59:48] into middle school

[00:59:49] she's in fifth grade

[00:59:50] right now

[00:59:50] she's going

[00:59:51] she's like going

[00:59:52] to be a sixth grader

[00:59:53] so she'll start

[00:59:54] reading them

[00:59:55] she's like a little

[00:59:56] old for her

[00:59:57] she's like one of

[00:59:58] the older kids

[00:59:58] in her grade

[00:59:59] so she's gonna

[01:00:00] read it now

[01:00:01] cool

[01:00:02] that's so fun

[01:00:03] she's gonna jump

[01:00:04] into it

[01:00:04] and even if that

[01:00:05] happened at

[01:00:06] book three or four

[01:00:08] some friend is like

[01:00:09] oh I want to

[01:00:10] this

[01:00:10] they could catch up

[01:00:11] they could catch up

[01:00:11] quick

[01:00:12] and then yeah

[01:00:12] yeah

[01:00:13] I think it'd be great

[01:00:14] that's so awesome

[01:00:15] so we got lots

[01:00:16] planned anyway

[01:00:16] for podcasting

[01:00:17] as far as that's

[01:00:19] concerned

[01:00:20] um

[01:00:23] uh

[01:00:25] what other Bernie

[01:00:26] questions

[01:00:26] I want to

[01:00:26] we'll talk about

[01:00:27] the rankings

[01:00:27] of the books

[01:00:28] in a bit

[01:00:28] and then we'll do

[01:00:29] like the final

[01:00:30] hot tamale

[01:00:30] you know

[01:00:31] hot

[01:00:31] uh

[01:00:32] final questions

[01:00:33] but

[01:00:34] that's written

[01:00:34] on our

[01:00:35] one of our

[01:00:35] wedding things

[01:00:36] by you

[01:00:37] remember

[01:00:38] I had a picture

[01:00:39] I had a frame

[01:00:40] and we asked

[01:00:40] people to like

[01:00:41] write or doodle

[01:00:42] or something

[01:00:42] and I think

[01:00:43] you wrote

[01:00:43] something awesome

[01:00:44] but I don't

[01:00:45] know

[01:00:45] I don't remember

[01:00:46] but I just

[01:00:47] saw it today

[01:00:47] it's hanging up

[01:00:48] in our bathroom

[01:00:49] and it said

[01:00:49] hot tamale

[01:00:50] I was like

[01:00:50] whoa

[01:00:51] I forgot

[01:00:52] about that

[01:00:52] phrase

[01:00:52] that's great

[01:00:53] I love that

[01:00:54] describe the

[01:00:55] couple

[01:00:56] that's what

[01:00:56] it is

[01:00:57] that's so

[01:00:57] great

[01:00:58] I wrote that

[01:00:59] yeah

[01:01:00] your name's under

[01:01:00] it

[01:01:10] in our description

[01:01:11] on the frame

[01:01:12] oh that's fun

[01:01:13] so cute

[01:01:14] that's cute

[01:01:16] um

[01:01:16] any other

[01:01:17] any other

[01:01:18] questions that

[01:01:19] you guys had

[01:01:19] or like

[01:01:20] burning things

[01:01:21] that you wanted

[01:01:21] to talk about

[01:01:22] before we do

[01:01:22] the wrap up

[01:01:24] hmm

[01:01:26] anybody else

[01:01:27] online want

[01:01:27] to ask a

[01:01:28] question

[01:01:31] I'm sure

[01:01:32] I'll think

[01:01:32] of something

[01:01:32] later

[01:01:34] I'm not

[01:01:35] ready for it

[01:01:35] to be over

[01:01:37] oh I will

[01:01:38] say the one

[01:01:39] moment

[01:01:39] because I

[01:01:40] didn't

[01:01:41] watch the

[01:01:42] movies with

[01:01:42] you guys

[01:01:42] but the

[01:01:43] last movie

[01:01:45] was it

[01:01:45] the last

[01:01:46] movie

[01:01:46] where in

[01:01:47] the book

[01:01:48] um

[01:01:49] mrs.

[01:01:50] malfoy

[01:01:50] goes to

[01:01:51] harry

[01:01:52] but in

[01:01:53] the book

[01:01:53] she like

[01:01:54] she's like

[01:01:55] draco

[01:01:56] I never

[01:01:57] knew what

[01:01:57] was going

[01:01:57] on

[01:01:58] really

[01:01:59] because you

[01:02:00] would always

[01:02:00] say like

[01:02:01] yeah

[01:02:02] you would

[01:02:02] have to

[01:02:02] know

[01:02:03] and it

[01:02:03] was so

[01:02:03] funny

[01:02:04] because that

[01:02:04] moment

[01:02:04] in the

[01:02:05] book

[01:02:05] in the

[01:02:06] movie

[01:02:06] I'm

[01:02:06] always

[01:02:06] like

[01:02:06] what

[01:02:07] is

[01:02:07] like

[01:02:07] what

[01:02:08] is

[01:02:08] happening

[01:02:09] I'm

[01:02:09] so

[01:02:09] confused

[01:02:10] if you've

[01:02:11] just seen

[01:02:11] the

[01:02:12] confusing

[01:02:12] for

[01:02:12] what

[01:02:12] actually

[01:02:13] is

[01:02:13] happening

[01:02:13] um

[01:02:14] so

[01:02:15] but

[01:02:15] I

[01:02:16] I

[01:02:16] just

[01:02:17] didn't

[01:02:17] care

[01:02:19] for

[01:02:20] Brandon

[01:02:21] and

[01:02:21] Lauren

[01:02:21] we

[01:02:21] should

[01:02:22] have

[01:02:22] them

[01:02:22] watch

[01:02:23] the

[01:02:23] movies

[01:02:23] first

[01:02:24] watch

[01:02:24] like

[01:02:25] one

[01:02:25] movie

[01:02:25] and

[01:02:25] then

[01:02:25] maybe

[01:02:26] like

[01:02:26] talk

[01:02:26] about

[01:02:26] movies

[01:02:26] some

[01:02:42] actually

[01:02:42] confused

[01:02:42] in

[01:02:42] the

[01:02:42] movies

[01:02:43] yeah

[01:02:43] that

[01:02:43] was

[01:02:44] funny

[01:02:44] because

[01:02:45] I

[01:02:45] would

[01:02:45] ask

[01:02:45] them

[01:02:46] how

[01:02:46] do

[01:02:46] you

[01:02:46] know

[01:02:47] what

[01:02:47] happens

[01:02:48] here

[01:02:48] they don't

[01:02:49] explain

[01:02:49] it

[01:02:49] yeah

[01:02:50] like

[01:02:50] what

[01:02:50] are you

[01:02:50] talking

[01:02:51] about

[01:02:51] and

[01:02:52] Jen

[01:02:52] could

[01:02:52] be

[01:02:52] like

[01:02:52] well

[01:02:53] in

[01:02:53] the

[01:02:53] book

[01:02:53] I

[01:02:54] schooled

[01:02:54] them

[01:02:54] on

[01:02:55] like

[01:02:55] the

[01:02:56] marauders

[01:02:56] that makes

[01:02:57] me so

[01:02:57] happy

[01:02:58] that was

[01:02:58] so funny

[01:03:02] it's

[01:03:03] great

[01:03:03] it's

[01:03:04] awesome

[01:03:14] someone

[01:03:14] asks

[01:03:14] if a

[01:03:15] sequel

[01:03:15] is

[01:03:15] made

[01:03:16] what

[01:03:16] would

[01:03:16] you

[01:03:16] want

[01:03:16] it

[01:03:17] what

[01:03:17] direction

[01:03:17] would

[01:03:18] you

[01:03:18] want

[01:03:18] it

[01:03:18] to

[01:03:18] go

[01:03:18] in

[01:03:19] like

[01:03:20] a

[01:03:20] whole

[01:03:20] series

[01:03:20] of

[01:03:21] sequels

[01:03:21] so

[01:03:21] yeah

[01:03:22] let's

[01:03:22] say

[01:03:22] there's

[01:03:22] a

[01:03:22] sequel

[01:03:22] made

[01:03:23] I

[01:03:23] mean

[01:03:23] there's

[01:03:23] there's

[01:03:23] a few

[01:03:23] directions

[01:03:24] they can

[01:03:24] go

[01:03:24] in

[01:03:24] would

[01:03:24] it

[01:03:25] be

[01:03:25] completely

[01:03:25] divorced

[01:03:25] from

[01:03:26] everything

[01:03:26] it would

[01:03:27] tie

[01:03:27] the

[01:03:28] story

[01:03:28] together

[01:03:29] in

[01:03:29] all

[01:03:29] the

[01:03:30] ways

[01:03:30] that

[01:03:30] she

[01:03:30] left

[01:03:30] open

[01:03:32] I

[01:03:34] do

[01:03:35] find

[01:03:35] myself

[01:03:35] kind

[01:03:36] of

[01:03:36] hoping

[01:03:36] that

[01:03:43] hinted

[01:03:43] at

[01:03:44] and

[01:03:44] during

[01:03:44] a

[01:03:44] second

[01:03:45] time

[01:03:45] read

[01:03:45] I'll

[01:03:45] keep

[01:03:46] a

[01:03:46] tally

[01:03:46] of

[01:03:46] all

[01:03:47] the

[01:03:47] things

[01:03:47] I

[01:03:47] thought

[01:03:48] were

[01:03:48] going

[01:03:48] to

[01:03:48] come

[01:03:48] back

[01:03:48] and

[01:03:49] didn't

[01:03:50] and

[01:03:52] I

[01:03:53] feel

[01:03:53] like

[01:03:53] there

[01:03:53] are

[01:03:54] open

[01:03:54] ends

[01:03:55] to

[01:03:55] this

[01:03:55] story

[01:03:56] things

[01:03:57] that

[01:03:57] were

[01:03:57] not

[01:03:58] just

[01:03:58] mentioned

[01:03:58] but

[01:03:59] I

[01:03:59] feel

[01:03:59] like

[01:03:59] almost

[01:04:00] foreshadowed

[01:04:01] and

[01:04:01] obviously

[01:04:02] some

[01:04:03] of the

[01:04:03] big

[01:04:03] ones

[01:04:03] being

[01:04:03] with

[01:04:04] Snape

[01:04:05] specifically

[01:04:05] and

[01:04:08] the

[01:04:08] history

[01:04:09] of

[01:04:09] Harry's

[01:04:09] parents

[01:04:10] and

[01:04:11] the

[01:04:11] Potter

[01:04:12] line

[01:04:12] and

[01:04:13] Harry

[01:04:13] and

[01:04:14] I

[01:04:14] feel

[01:04:15] like

[01:04:15] if

[01:04:16] she

[01:04:17] had

[01:04:17] the

[01:04:17] foresight

[01:04:17] to

[01:04:18] plan

[01:04:18] all

[01:04:19] of

[01:04:19] these

[01:04:19] books

[01:04:19] she

[01:04:20] also

[01:04:21] had

[01:04:21] the

[01:04:21] foresight

[01:04:22] to

[01:04:22] plan

[01:04:22] the

[01:04:23] eighth

[01:04:25] ninth

[01:04:25] and

[01:04:25] tenth

[01:04:25] book

[01:04:26] that

[01:04:26] she

[01:04:26] plans

[01:04:27] on

[01:04:27] writing

[01:04:27] when

[01:04:28] she's

[01:04:28] near

[01:04:29] retirement

[01:04:30] so

[01:04:31] that's

[01:04:31] my

[01:04:32] dream

[01:04:32] a little

[01:04:33] bit

[01:04:33] that

[01:04:33] she

[01:04:33] would

[01:04:34] take

[01:04:34] the

[01:04:34] story

[01:04:35] and

[01:04:36] just

[01:04:36] finish

[01:04:37] it

[01:04:37] not

[01:04:38] to

[01:04:38] insult

[01:04:38] anything

[01:04:39] that

[01:04:39] was

[01:04:39] already

[01:04:39] written

[01:04:39] but

[01:04:41] I

[01:04:41] do

[01:04:41] feel

[01:04:41] like

[01:04:42] there

[01:04:42] is

[01:04:42] more

[01:04:42] to

[01:04:43] tell

[01:04:43] with

[01:04:44] the

[01:04:44] characters

[01:04:44] and

[01:04:45] the

[01:04:46] locations

[01:04:46] we

[01:04:47] already

[01:04:47] love

[01:04:48] happy

[01:04:48] ending

[01:04:48] well

[01:04:49] I

[01:04:50] think

[01:04:50] it

[01:04:50] already

[01:04:50] was

[01:04:50] a

[01:04:50] pretty

[01:04:51] happy

[01:04:51] ending

[01:04:52] and

[01:04:53] I'm

[01:04:53] not

[01:04:53] even

[01:04:53] saying

[01:04:54] the

[01:04:55] whole

[01:04:55] world

[01:04:55] in

[01:04:56] peril

[01:04:56] again

[01:04:56] or

[01:04:57] Voldemort

[01:04:57] coming

[01:04:57] back

[01:04:57] nothing

[01:04:58] dramatic

[01:04:58] like

[01:04:58] that

[01:04:59] but

[01:04:59] I

[01:04:59] just

[01:04:59] think

[01:05:00] there's

[01:05:00] more

[01:05:00] that

[01:05:00] could

[01:05:01] be

[01:05:04] I

[01:05:04] don't

[01:05:05] need

[01:05:05] a lot

[01:05:06] of

[01:05:06] peril

[01:05:07] in the

[01:05:08] next

[01:05:08] story

[01:05:10] undoubtedly

[01:05:11] there will

[01:05:11] be

[01:05:12] because

[01:05:12] that

[01:05:12] does

[01:05:12] make

[01:05:12] for

[01:05:12] good

[01:05:13] stories

[01:05:15] but

[01:05:15] it

[01:05:15] just

[01:05:15] feels

[01:05:16] like

[01:05:17] you

[01:05:17] could

[01:05:18] tell

[01:05:18] a lot

[01:05:18] more

[01:05:18] there's

[01:05:19] a lot

[01:05:19] more

[01:05:20] to it

[01:05:20] and

[01:05:22] there's

[01:05:22] just

[01:05:22] I feel

[01:05:23] like

[01:05:23] the end

[01:05:23] of it

[01:05:24] scratched

[01:05:24] a lot

[01:05:25] of those

[01:05:25] itches

[01:05:25] but I

[01:05:26] still

[01:05:26] got a few

[01:05:27] itches

[01:05:29] I'm dreaming

[01:05:30] of that

[01:05:31] a little

[01:05:31] bit

[01:05:31] and I

[01:05:32] haven't

[01:05:32] watched

[01:05:33] much

[01:05:33] of what

[01:05:33] she said

[01:05:34] after the

[01:05:34] series

[01:05:35] because

[01:05:35] what

[01:05:35] I

[01:05:35] have

[01:05:35] seen

[01:05:36] and

[01:05:36] heard

[01:05:37] makes

[01:05:37] me

[01:05:38] think

[01:05:38] she's

[01:05:39] just

[01:05:39] confirming

[01:05:39] that

[01:05:40] the

[01:05:40] door

[01:05:57] well

[01:05:58] yeah

[01:05:58] but

[01:05:58] I'm

[01:05:59] trying

[01:05:59] to

[01:05:59] just

[01:06:00] open

[01:06:00] that

[01:06:00] tap

[01:06:00] slowly

[01:06:01] I'm

[01:06:01] not

[01:06:01] trying

[01:06:01] to

[01:06:02] drown

[01:06:02] in

[01:06:02] this

[01:06:02] waterfall

[01:06:03] of

[01:06:03] Harry Potter

[01:06:03] magic

[01:06:04] there is

[01:06:04] a lot

[01:06:07] but I'm

[01:06:08] kind of

[01:06:08] going

[01:06:08] through

[01:06:09] and what

[01:06:09] I posted

[01:06:10] a little

[01:06:10] bit of

[01:06:10] is just

[01:06:11] all of

[01:06:11] the things

[01:06:12] from

[01:06:12] Pottermore

[01:06:13] which

[01:06:14] are

[01:06:14] the things

[01:06:15] JK has

[01:06:16] written

[01:06:16] specifically

[01:06:17] about different

[01:06:18] elements of

[01:06:18] the wizarding

[01:06:19] world

[01:06:19] and the

[01:06:20] highlight

[01:06:20] of that

[01:06:21] so far

[01:06:21] McGonagall's

[01:06:22] story

[01:06:22] so good

[01:06:23] isn't that

[01:06:24] so fascinating

[01:06:24] so good

[01:06:25] her back

[01:06:26] so great

[01:06:27] and maybe

[01:06:28] they'll dive

[01:06:28] into that

[01:06:28] in the

[01:06:29] series

[01:06:29] because

[01:06:30] that's

[01:06:31] worthy

[01:06:31] of a

[01:06:32] decent

[01:06:32] amount

[01:06:32] of

[01:06:32] little

[01:06:32] bonus

[01:06:33] time

[01:06:34] but

[01:06:35] yeah

[01:06:35] there's

[01:06:36] so much

[01:06:37] potential

[01:06:38] the world

[01:06:39] we already

[01:06:40] know

[01:06:40] from

[01:06:40] Harry

[01:06:40] Potter

[01:06:41] she just

[01:06:42] goes a little

[01:06:42] deeper

[01:06:42] into it

[01:06:43] so on

[01:06:43] Pottermore

[01:06:45] however

[01:06:45] many it

[01:06:46] is

[01:06:46] I'll call

[01:06:47] it 40

[01:06:47] or 50

[01:06:49] little

[01:06:49] excerpts

[01:06:50] that she

[01:06:52] has just

[01:06:53] put out

[01:06:54] there

[01:06:54] post

[01:06:55] books

[01:06:56] in like

[01:06:56] 2015

[01:06:58] and

[01:06:59] each one

[01:07:00] is about

[01:07:00] a specific

[01:07:00] topic

[01:07:02] and some

[01:07:03] of them

[01:07:03] are really

[01:07:03] short

[01:07:04] and some

[01:07:04] of them

[01:07:05] are long

[01:07:05] and the

[01:07:06] McGonagall

[01:07:06] one was

[01:07:07] long

[01:07:07] and it

[01:07:07] read like

[01:07:08] a story

[01:07:08] about

[01:07:09] her life

[01:07:10] and her

[01:07:10] marriage

[01:07:11] and how

[01:07:12] her marriage

[01:07:13] ended

[01:07:13] and all

[01:07:14] the drama

[01:07:16] and that

[01:07:16] stuff was

[01:07:17] fun

[01:07:17] but I

[01:07:18] don't want

[01:07:18] to read

[01:07:19] that too

[01:07:19] quickly

[01:07:19] because that

[01:07:20] is the

[01:07:20] meat

[01:07:26] but yeah

[01:07:26] I feel

[01:07:27] like

[01:07:27] I still

[01:07:27] want to

[01:07:27] have

[01:07:27] another

[01:07:28] second

[01:07:28] read

[01:07:28] experience

[01:07:29] that's

[01:07:29] a little

[01:07:29] more

[01:07:30] pure

[01:07:30] before I

[01:07:31] go too

[01:07:31] deep

[01:07:31] down

[01:07:32] that

[01:07:32] rabbit hole

[01:07:34] we'll see

[01:07:36] all right

[01:07:37] I rambled

[01:07:37] on have you

[01:07:38] thought of a

[01:07:38] good answer

[01:07:39] Jen

[01:07:39] sequel

[01:07:40] potential

[01:07:40] I'm glad

[01:07:41] you repeated

[01:07:42] the question

[01:07:46] you sucked

[01:07:53] all the

[01:07:53] oh man

[01:07:59] a sequel

[01:08:01] yeah

[01:08:02] I mean

[01:08:02] maybe you

[01:08:03] would tie

[01:08:03] in like

[01:08:04] the kids

[01:08:05] and their

[01:08:06] new life

[01:08:07] in Hogwarts

[01:08:08] and how

[01:08:08] it's changed

[01:08:09] after

[01:08:10] you know

[01:08:11] Baltimore

[01:08:12] was defeated

[01:08:13] and what

[01:08:13] that looks

[01:08:14] like

[01:08:14] and maybe

[01:08:15] the other

[01:08:15] schools

[01:08:16] would be

[01:08:16] integrated

[01:08:17] more

[01:08:17] into it

[01:08:18] not just

[01:08:18] that one

[01:08:20] I don't even

[01:08:20] know when

[01:08:21] they the

[01:08:21] ball or

[01:08:22] something

[01:08:22] is that

[01:08:22] the only

[01:08:23] time they

[01:08:23] come

[01:08:23] to check

[01:08:24] it out

[01:08:25] maybe

[01:08:25] there'd be

[01:08:25] more field

[01:08:26] trips

[01:08:26] or something

[01:08:27] to kind

[01:08:28] of see

[01:08:28] the other

[01:08:29] schools

[01:08:32] and then

[01:08:32] seeing the

[01:08:33] characters

[01:08:33] as parents

[01:08:34] would probably

[01:08:35] be kind

[01:08:35] of funny

[01:08:35] yeah

[01:08:36] agreed

[01:08:36] that's a

[01:08:37] great thing

[01:08:38] that you

[01:08:38] mentioned

[01:08:38] I would

[01:08:39] be so

[01:08:39] fascinating

[01:08:40] to see

[01:08:40] like

[01:08:41] maybe

[01:08:41] this would

[01:08:41] be

[01:08:41] boring

[01:08:42] but like

[01:08:43] legislation

[01:08:43] that the

[01:08:44] wizarding

[01:08:44] world

[01:08:44] puts into

[01:08:45] place

[01:08:45] to like

[01:08:46] prevent

[01:08:46] something

[01:08:46] like this

[01:08:47] from happening

[01:08:47] again

[01:08:47] or like

[01:08:48] how the

[01:08:48] schools

[01:08:49] change

[01:08:49] what they

[01:08:50] teach

[01:08:50] or like

[01:08:51] how they

[01:08:52] behave

[01:08:52] or act

[01:08:53] in order

[01:08:53] to not

[01:08:54] let some

[01:08:54] of this

[01:08:54] stuff

[01:08:54] happen

[01:08:55] again

[01:08:55] like

[01:08:56] how they

[01:08:56] rebuild

[01:08:56] yeah

[01:08:57] I think

[01:08:57] that stuff

[01:08:58] would be

[01:08:58] so fascinating

[01:08:58] to see

[01:08:59] yeah

[01:08:59] you're

[01:08:59] right

[01:08:59] because

[01:09:00] most

[01:09:00] movies

[01:09:00] they like

[01:09:00] you know

[01:09:01] they cut

[01:09:01] out

[01:09:01] as soon as

[01:09:02] they're starting

[01:09:02] to rebuild

[01:09:03] because it's like

[01:09:04] you know

[01:09:04] that's when the end

[01:09:05] really

[01:09:05] yeah

[01:09:06] yeah

[01:09:06] all the conflict

[01:09:07] happens

[01:09:07] they destroy a city

[01:09:08] and like

[01:09:09] the movie ends

[01:09:10] it'd be kind of fun

[01:09:11] to see how they

[01:09:12] rebuild

[01:09:13] I think what you

[01:09:14] were saying

[01:09:14] about classes

[01:09:15] like okay

[01:09:16] maybe we teach

[01:09:16] kids how to

[01:09:17] defend themselves

[01:09:18] better than

[01:09:19] we were doing

[01:09:21] yeah

[01:09:21] just in case

[01:09:22] yeah you're right

[01:09:23] like defense

[01:09:24] against the dark arts

[01:09:25] but that was one

[01:09:26] class and it wasn't

[01:09:27] until older

[01:09:29] and they were kind of

[01:09:30] maintaining teachers

[01:09:30] well hopefully

[01:09:32] that curse

[01:09:32] is gone

[01:09:33] yeah

[01:09:33] now

[01:09:34] who's been the

[01:09:34] teacher since

[01:09:35] yeah

[01:09:36] and it would be

[01:09:37] fun to see that

[01:09:38] I thought you were

[01:09:38] going to tell me

[01:09:39] no I don't know

[01:09:40] we know

[01:09:40] just the way you

[01:09:41] talk

[01:09:43] do we know

[01:09:43] I don't think so

[01:09:44] it would be so fun

[01:09:45] to see like Harry

[01:09:46] take that role

[01:09:46] like I would love

[01:09:47] to see

[01:09:47] I was always bummed

[01:09:49] that Harry didn't

[01:09:49] like you know

[01:09:50] go into Quidditch

[01:09:50] right after

[01:09:51] like you know

[01:09:52] he deserves

[01:09:53] I thought he was

[01:09:54] going to be

[01:09:55] an Auror

[01:09:56] yeah

[01:09:56] which he does

[01:09:57] he goes and does

[01:09:58] oh

[01:09:59] which we're going

[01:10:00] to kind of see

[01:10:00] you seem so

[01:10:02] unenthusiastic

[01:10:02] I kind of am

[01:10:04] because I like

[01:10:04] that he goes

[01:10:05] into that profession

[01:10:06] but I think he

[01:10:07] could actually

[01:10:07] be more used

[01:10:08] like he deserves

[01:10:09] like a 10 year

[01:10:10] breather

[01:10:10] go let him play

[01:10:11] Quidditch

[01:10:12] and let him

[01:10:12] just like

[01:10:13] decompress

[01:10:13] for 10 years

[01:10:14] he could have

[01:10:15] a great

[01:10:15] Quidditch career

[01:10:16] I think of being

[01:10:16] a professor

[01:10:17] would be more

[01:10:17] interesting

[01:10:18] and then he

[01:10:18] goes and

[01:10:19] becomes a professor

[01:10:20] the defense

[01:10:20] against the dark

[01:10:21] arts professor

[01:10:21] that's like his

[01:10:22] second career

[01:10:23] and his third

[01:10:23] career is lower

[01:10:24] summers as an

[01:10:25] Auror

[01:10:26] yes exactly

[01:10:27] yeah

[01:10:27] you know

[01:10:28] yeah

[01:10:28] and that's where

[01:10:29] he's learning

[01:10:29] all the practical

[01:10:30] things that he

[01:10:30] can teach

[01:10:31] yeah

[01:10:32] because he was

[01:10:33] such a good

[01:10:34] teacher

[01:10:35] right

[01:10:35] multiple careers

[01:10:36] in your lifetime

[01:10:37] well yeah

[01:10:37] it's hard to

[01:10:38] support with

[01:10:38] inflation

[01:10:40] and honestly

[01:10:41] it would be fun

[01:10:41] to see a series

[01:10:42] of Harry's psyche

[01:10:43] going through

[01:10:44] teaching

[01:10:44] like I don't

[01:10:46] know if he

[01:10:46] would particularly

[01:10:47] enjoy it

[01:10:47] I think he'd

[01:10:48] think himself

[01:10:48] inadequate at times

[01:10:49] like it's so

[01:10:51] different from a

[01:10:52] Dumbledore teaching

[01:10:52] where Dumbledore

[01:10:53] is so overly

[01:10:54] confident in his

[01:10:55] abilities and he's

[01:10:55] like almost like

[01:10:56] but he's an adult

[01:10:57] now

[01:10:58] yeah exactly

[01:10:58] so would Harry

[01:10:59] feel very confident

[01:11:00] in his teaching

[01:11:01] abilities

[01:11:01] Ginny would

[01:11:02] help him

[01:11:03] yeah

[01:11:03] oh yeah

[01:11:03] little confidence

[01:11:05] that Ginny has

[01:11:05] is rubbing off

[01:11:06] on Harry

[01:11:07] so I just think

[01:11:08] that'd be such a

[01:11:09] fascinating and

[01:11:10] fun deep dive

[01:11:11] on like seeing

[01:11:12] what Harry went

[01:11:13] through for the

[01:11:14] next few years

[01:11:14] of his life

[01:11:15] in like a more

[01:11:16] interesting way

[01:11:17] than just being

[01:11:17] an Auror

[01:11:18] I think he has

[01:11:19] like he can have

[01:11:20] cooler backstory

[01:11:20] yep

[01:11:21] I don't know

[01:11:22] an Auror feels

[01:11:23] like not the

[01:11:24] best use of

[01:11:25] Harry

[01:11:25] ah yeah

[01:11:26] I kind of

[01:11:26] agree

[01:11:27] like it made

[01:11:27] sense when

[01:11:28] Voldemort was

[01:11:28] out there

[01:11:29] but now

[01:11:29] like what's

[01:11:30] the you know

[01:11:31] what do you

[01:11:32] you already did

[01:11:33] it you got to

[01:11:34] the top

[01:11:34] you crushed

[01:11:35] all evil

[01:11:35] and now

[01:11:36] what is it

[01:11:37] being an Auror

[01:11:38] I feel like

[01:11:39] it's not

[01:11:41] maybe that's

[01:11:42] what it could

[01:11:43] be about

[01:11:43] him finding

[01:11:44] out it's not

[01:11:44] all it's cracked

[01:11:45] up to be

[01:11:45] um

[01:11:47] but was he

[01:11:48] actually good

[01:11:48] or was it just

[01:11:49] because he was

[01:11:50] a Horcrux

[01:11:50] that he was

[01:11:51] good

[01:11:52] yeah

[01:11:53] that's a great

[01:11:54] point

[01:11:54] because maybe his

[01:11:55] confidence is going

[01:11:56] to falter for that

[01:11:56] and Ginny is

[01:11:57] giving him pep

[01:11:59] talks every single

[01:12:00] day after he

[01:12:01] teaches because he

[01:12:01] feels inadequate

[01:12:02] because maybe

[01:12:02] the entire time

[01:12:03] he really just

[01:12:04] was doing this

[01:12:05] because he had

[01:12:06] a part of

[01:12:06] Voldemort living

[01:12:07] inside of him

[01:12:07] so maybe

[01:12:08] when that part

[01:12:09] is destroyed

[01:12:09] he doesn't know

[01:12:11] how to do

[01:12:11] magic that well

[01:12:12] anymore

[01:12:12] I don't know

[01:12:14] how much do you

[01:12:14] think his

[01:12:15] personality changed

[01:12:16] I viewed it

[01:12:17] as almost

[01:12:18] not at all

[01:12:19] but you

[01:12:20] are viewing it

[01:12:21] a little bit

[01:12:21] like that

[01:12:22] his personality

[01:12:23] would change

[01:12:23] he might not

[01:12:24] be good

[01:12:24] at the same

[01:12:24] things

[01:12:25] he might

[01:12:26] change in

[01:12:26] confidence

[01:12:27] more or less

[01:12:28] we don't know

[01:12:29] that's interesting

[01:12:30] that's a fascinating

[01:12:31] idea

[01:12:37] he fixes

[01:12:38] his wand too

[01:12:38] I forget

[01:12:39] because in the

[01:12:40] movies

[01:12:40] he snaps it

[01:12:41] and doesn't

[01:12:42] fix his wand

[01:12:42] in the books

[01:12:43] he fixes his

[01:12:44] wand

[01:12:44] and then

[01:12:45] leaves the

[01:12:46] wand

[01:12:47] in

[01:12:47] and

[01:12:47] yeah

[01:12:48] it's a huge

[01:12:49] open end

[01:12:49] and leaves

[01:12:50] the wand

[01:12:50] fully put

[01:12:52] together in

[01:12:52] Dumbledore's

[01:12:53] grave

[01:12:54] that's the

[01:12:55] perfect sequel

[01:12:55] right there

[01:12:56] perfect sequel

[01:12:57] we can tie up

[01:12:58] all the loose

[01:12:59] ends that

[01:12:59] already exist

[01:13:00] because there

[01:13:00] were always

[01:13:01] planning on

[01:13:02] doing

[01:13:02] but

[01:13:02] I think

[01:13:03] there will

[01:13:04] always be

[01:13:04] a master

[01:13:05] of the

[01:13:05] elder wand

[01:13:07] like

[01:13:07] even if

[01:13:08] harry just

[01:13:08] dies

[01:13:09] I still think

[01:13:10] the elder wand

[01:13:10] probably has

[01:13:11] enough wherewithal

[01:13:12] and almost

[01:13:12] like I think

[01:13:13] joe like

[01:13:14] knew that she

[01:13:15] was writing

[01:13:15] that in there

[01:13:16] too

[01:13:17] she left

[01:13:18] that door

[01:13:18] open

[01:13:19] it's like

[01:13:19] yeah

[01:13:19] she knew

[01:13:20] it

[01:13:20] yeah

[01:13:21] she's leaving

[01:13:21] some doors

[01:13:22] open

[01:13:22] try these

[01:13:23] other things

[01:13:24] yeah

[01:13:24] agree

[01:13:24] no of course

[01:13:25] I'm not saying

[01:13:26] right now

[01:13:26] I'm saying

[01:13:26] when she's

[01:13:27] 70

[01:13:30] she's gonna

[01:13:30] come back

[01:13:31] to it

[01:13:31] or

[01:13:32] she wrote

[01:13:33] the book

[01:13:33] and it

[01:13:33] releases

[01:13:34] on her

[01:13:34] death

[01:13:35] that's a little

[01:13:36] much

[01:13:36] but

[01:13:36] I feel like

[01:13:38] I don't know

[01:13:40] it is

[01:13:41] odd to leave

[01:13:43] that open

[01:13:43] ended

[01:13:43] when she

[01:13:44] laid so much

[01:13:45] groundwork for

[01:13:46] it

[01:13:47] and then

[01:13:47] just to leave

[01:13:48] it in the

[01:13:48] world

[01:13:48] I kind of

[01:13:49] forgot about

[01:13:49] that

[01:13:49] that makes

[01:13:50] so much

[01:13:50] sense

[01:13:52] and then

[01:13:53] it could be

[01:13:53] a lord of the

[01:13:54] rings parallel

[01:13:54] for the actual

[01:13:55] story

[01:13:56] whenever it

[01:13:56] comes out

[01:13:58] someone

[01:13:59] so someone

[01:14:00] just said

[01:14:00] this on the

[01:14:01] live too

[01:14:01] but I just

[01:14:01] saw a little

[01:14:02] article about

[01:14:03] this too

[01:14:03] and that

[01:14:04] there's a

[01:14:05] Hogwarts

[01:14:05] legacy sequel

[01:14:06] and it's

[01:14:06] going to

[01:14:06] coordinate

[01:14:07] with the

[01:14:07] big picture

[01:14:08] story elements

[01:14:09] in the

[01:14:09] HBO series

[01:14:11] I don't know

[01:14:11] how that's

[01:14:12] going to work

[01:14:12] but I think

[01:14:13] they're

[01:14:14] weirdly

[01:14:14] I think

[01:14:15] they're

[01:14:15] taking a

[01:14:16] some of

[01:14:17] the video

[01:14:17] game elements

[01:14:17] of like

[01:14:18] the actual

[01:14:19] castle

[01:14:19] and some

[01:14:20] of the

[01:14:20] grounds

[01:14:20] and some

[01:14:20] of the

[01:14:20] story

[01:14:21] into the

[01:14:22] HBO series

[01:14:23] which is

[01:14:24] kind of

[01:14:24] cool

[01:14:24] I feel

[01:14:25] like

[01:14:25] that

[01:14:25] will be

[01:14:26] a

[01:14:26] fascinating

[01:14:26] part

[01:14:27] of it

[01:14:27] to see

[01:14:28] much more

[01:14:29] unity

[01:14:29] between

[01:14:31] seasons

[01:14:31] of the

[01:14:32] show

[01:14:32] in

[01:14:33] little

[01:14:33] things

[01:14:34] even

[01:14:34] just like

[01:14:34] the

[01:14:34] castle

[01:14:35] and the

[01:14:35] grounds

[01:14:36] and

[01:14:36] places

[01:14:37] where they

[01:14:37] filmed

[01:14:37] because

[01:14:38] I feel

[01:14:38] like

[01:14:38] some

[01:14:38] of

[01:14:38] that

[01:14:39] was

[01:14:46] but that

[01:14:46] would be

[01:14:47] so cool

[01:14:47] to see

[01:14:47] the video

[01:14:48] game

[01:14:48] tied in

[01:14:48] I saw

[01:14:49] that

[01:14:49] announcement

[01:14:50] but I

[01:14:50] didn't know

[01:14:50] much about

[01:14:51] it

[01:14:51] yeah

[01:14:51] I don't

[01:14:51] know exactly

[01:14:52] what that

[01:14:52] means

[01:14:53] but

[01:14:54] it's

[01:14:55] going to

[01:14:55] be fun

[01:14:55] to see

[01:14:55] what they

[01:14:56] do

[01:14:57] yeah

[01:14:57] yeah

[01:14:58] it's

[01:14:58] pretty

[01:14:59] great

[01:15:05] let's

[01:15:05] do

[01:15:05] a

[01:15:09] you

[01:15:09] can

[01:15:09] rank

[01:15:09] the

[01:15:09] books

[01:15:10] if

[01:15:10] you

[01:15:10] want

[01:15:11] or

[01:15:12] you

[01:15:12] can

[01:15:12] just

[01:15:12] give

[01:15:12] me

[01:15:12] what

[01:15:13] your

[01:15:13] favorite

[01:15:13] book

[01:15:13] is

[01:15:15] I'm

[01:15:15] not

[01:15:15] sure

[01:15:15] I'm

[01:15:16] going to

[01:15:16] remember

[01:15:16] what

[01:15:17] that's

[01:15:18] why

[01:15:18] I said

[01:15:18] you

[01:15:18] don't

[01:15:18] necessarily

[01:15:19] have

[01:15:19] to

[01:15:19] rank

[01:15:19] them

[01:15:19] you

[01:15:20] can

[01:15:20] just

[01:15:20] give

[01:15:20] me

[01:15:20] what

[01:15:20] your

[01:15:21] favorite

[01:15:22] one

[01:15:22] is

[01:15:22] but

[01:15:22] if

[01:15:23] you

[01:15:23] give

[01:15:23] me

[01:15:23] that

[01:15:23] one

[01:15:23] you

[01:15:23] have

[01:15:23] to

[01:15:23] say

[01:15:24] why

[01:15:27] why

[01:15:27] why

[01:15:28] don't

[01:15:28] we

[01:15:28] get

[01:15:28] back

[01:15:28] in

[01:15:28] school

[01:15:31] homework

[01:15:32] yeah

[01:15:32] this is

[01:15:32] like

[01:15:33] a

[01:15:33] pop

[01:15:33] quiz

[01:15:34] it

[01:15:34] is

[01:15:36] not

[01:15:38] at

[01:15:39] the

[01:15:39] forefront

[01:15:39] of

[01:15:39] my

[01:15:40] mind

[01:15:42] what

[01:15:43] did

[01:15:43] I

[01:15:43] say

[01:15:43] last

[01:15:43] time

[01:15:44] well

[01:15:45] I

[01:15:45] think

[01:15:46] it

[01:15:46] is

[01:15:46] interesting

[01:15:46] with

[01:15:46] time

[01:15:47] because

[01:15:48] then

[01:15:48] time

[01:15:48] kind

[01:15:49] of

[01:15:49] filters

[01:15:49] out

[01:15:50] other

[01:15:50] things

[01:15:51] that

[01:15:51] were

[01:15:51] less

[01:15:51] impactful

[01:15:52] yeah

[01:15:52] oh

[01:15:53] I'll

[01:15:53] never

[01:15:53] forget

[01:15:53] the

[01:15:54] beginning

[01:15:55] okay

[01:15:55] nice

[01:15:56] what

[01:15:56] part

[01:15:56] was

[01:15:56] that

[01:16:04] yeah

[01:16:04] and

[01:16:05] I

[01:16:05] was

[01:16:05] what's

[01:16:06] happening

[01:16:06] and

[01:16:06] is

[01:16:07] that

[01:16:07] where

[01:16:07] moody

[01:16:08] is

[01:16:09] the

[01:16:09] fake

[01:16:10] yeah

[01:16:10] see

[01:16:11] because

[01:16:11] we

[01:16:11] were

[01:16:11] detectives

[01:16:12] and

[01:16:13] that

[01:16:13] one

[01:16:13] because

[01:16:15] we

[01:16:15] figured

[01:16:16] it

[01:16:16] out

[01:16:16] yeah

[01:16:16] I

[01:16:17] think

[01:16:17] the

[01:16:17] fourth

[01:16:17] was

[01:16:18] probably

[01:16:18] your

[01:16:18] favorite

[01:16:18] for

[01:16:19] those

[01:16:19] reasons

[01:16:19] yeah

[01:16:20] you

[01:16:21] seemed

[01:16:21] to

[01:16:21] really

[01:16:21] enjoy

[01:16:21] it

[01:16:22] I

[01:16:33] on

[01:16:34] the

[01:16:34] plane

[01:16:34] listening

[01:16:35] together

[01:16:35] and

[01:16:35] talking

[01:16:36] about

[01:16:36] it

[01:16:36] that

[01:16:37] doesn't

[01:16:38] seem

[01:16:38] like

[01:16:38] his

[01:16:39] personality

[01:16:40] yeah

[01:16:41] that

[01:16:41] was

[01:16:41] great

[01:16:42] that

[01:16:42] was

[01:16:43] so

[01:16:43] cool

[01:16:43] yeah

[01:16:44] it

[01:16:44] was

[01:16:44] it

[01:16:44] was

[01:16:44] great

[01:16:45] it

[01:16:45] was

[01:16:45] that's

[01:16:45] probably

[01:16:45] why

[01:16:46] I like

[01:16:46] him

[01:16:46] yeah

[01:16:47] because

[01:16:48] because

[01:16:49] it

[01:16:49] was

[01:16:51] you

[01:16:51] know

[01:16:51] right

[01:16:52] we're

[01:16:53] a little

[01:16:53] um

[01:16:55] biased

[01:16:56] in some

[01:16:56] ways

[01:16:57] from

[01:17:03] prisoner

[01:17:04] of

[01:17:04] Azkaban

[01:17:05] has

[01:17:06] gone

[01:17:06] up

[01:17:07] in my

[01:17:07] list

[01:17:08] it's

[01:17:09] a great

[01:17:09] book

[01:17:10] as a

[01:17:10] movie

[01:17:11] and

[01:17:11] book

[01:17:12] but

[01:17:13] because

[01:17:13] they were

[01:17:13] kind of

[01:17:13] working

[01:17:14] together

[01:17:14] because

[01:17:15] the

[01:17:15] studio

[01:17:15] I guess

[01:17:16] cycles

[01:17:17] through

[01:17:17] some

[01:17:17] of the

[01:17:17] stuff

[01:17:17] they

[01:17:18] have

[01:17:18] in

[01:17:18] their

[01:17:18] warehouse

[01:17:19] and

[01:17:20] they

[01:17:20] were

[01:17:21] focusing

[01:17:21] specifically

[01:17:22] on

[01:17:22] um

[01:17:23] props

[01:17:24] and

[01:17:24] sets

[01:17:25] from

[01:17:25] prisoner

[01:17:26] of

[01:17:26] Azkaban

[01:17:26] so

[01:17:27] that

[01:17:27] helped

[01:17:28] bring it

[01:17:29] front of

[01:17:29] mind

[01:17:30] um

[01:17:30] but I

[01:17:32] feel like

[01:17:32] there was

[01:17:33] something

[01:17:33] magical

[01:17:34] about it

[01:17:34] and I

[01:17:35] feel like

[01:17:35] that's

[01:17:36] where the

[01:17:36] movies

[01:17:37] brought it

[01:17:37] to a

[01:17:38] great

[01:17:38] level

[01:17:38] of

[01:17:39] they

[01:17:39] had

[01:17:39] a

[01:17:39] budget

[01:17:40] it

[01:17:40] started

[01:17:40] to get

[01:17:41] like

[01:17:41] more

[01:17:42] well

[01:17:42] known

[01:17:42] it

[01:17:43] felt

[01:17:43] more

[01:17:43] polished

[01:17:44] and

[01:17:44] it

[01:17:45] was

[01:17:45] reaching

[01:17:45] like

[01:17:46] um

[01:17:46] kind

[01:17:47] of

[01:17:47] peak

[01:17:47] magic

[01:17:48] um

[01:17:48] but

[01:17:49] it

[01:17:49] was

[01:17:49] still

[01:17:51] I

[01:17:51] don't

[01:17:51] know

[01:17:52] it

[01:17:52] still

[01:17:52] felt

[01:17:52] like

[01:17:52] it

[01:17:52] was

[01:17:53] something

[01:17:53] special

[01:17:54] still

[01:17:54] a

[01:17:55] hidden

[01:17:55] gem

[01:17:55] still

[01:17:56] like

[01:17:56] it

[01:17:56] didn't

[01:17:56] feel

[01:17:57] too

[01:17:57] Hollywood

[01:17:57] yet

[01:17:57] um

[01:17:58] but as

[01:17:59] far as

[01:17:59] my

[01:18:00] actual

[01:18:01] ranking

[01:18:01] I feel

[01:18:02] like

[01:18:02] I'd

[01:18:02] go

[01:18:05] four

[01:18:06] three

[01:18:07] wait

[01:18:08] wait

[01:18:08] okay

[01:18:09] four

[01:18:09] is

[01:18:09] your

[01:18:09] favorite

[01:18:09] five

[01:18:10] two

[01:18:10] one

[01:18:11] okay

[01:18:11] can

[01:18:12] you

[01:18:13] say

[01:18:13] the

[01:18:13] titles

[01:18:13] again

[01:18:14] um

[01:18:16] it's

[01:18:16] the

[01:18:17] sorcerer's

[01:18:18] stone

[01:18:18] chamber

[01:18:18] of

[01:18:18] secrets

[01:18:19] prisoner

[01:18:19] of

[01:18:19] azkaban

[01:18:20] goblet

[01:18:20] of

[01:18:20] fire

[01:18:20] um

[01:18:21] the

[01:18:22] order

[01:18:22] of

[01:18:22] the

[01:18:22] phoenix

[01:18:23] half

[01:18:23] blood

[01:18:23] prince

[01:18:24] and

[01:18:24] death

[01:18:24] hallows

[01:18:25] oh

[01:18:25] half

[01:18:26] blood

[01:18:26] prince

[01:18:26] was

[01:18:26] good

[01:18:27] too

[01:18:27] that's

[01:18:28] great

[01:18:28] so

[01:18:29] half

[01:18:29] blood

[01:18:29] prince

[01:18:29] is

[01:18:30] an

[01:18:30] interesting

[01:18:30] one

[01:18:30] because

[01:18:30] I

[01:18:31] thought

[01:18:31] you

[01:18:31] were

[01:18:31] going

[01:18:31] to

[01:18:31] like

[01:18:35] half

[01:18:35] when we

[01:18:36] finished

[01:18:36] it

[01:18:37] you

[01:18:37] liked

[01:18:38] it

[01:18:38] you

[01:18:38] guys

[01:18:38] liked

[01:18:39] it

[01:18:39] but

[01:18:39] it

[01:18:39] was

[01:18:39] like

[01:18:39] I

[01:18:40] think

[01:18:40] when

[01:18:40] that

[01:18:40] one

[01:18:40] sinks

[01:18:41] in

[01:18:41] a little

[01:18:41] bit

[01:18:41] I

[01:18:41] think

[01:18:41] you

[01:18:41] guys

[01:18:42] reread

[01:18:42] that

[01:18:43] one

[01:18:43] that

[01:18:43] might

[01:18:43] be

[01:18:43] your

[01:18:43] favorite

[01:18:43] okay

[01:18:44] yeah

[01:18:44] but

[01:18:44] I

[01:19:05] like

[01:19:06] want

[01:19:07] the

[01:19:07] next

[01:19:07] yeah

[01:19:07] yeah

[01:19:10] so

[01:19:12] I

[01:19:13] can't

[01:19:13] enjoy

[01:19:13] it

[01:19:14] because

[01:19:15] I

[01:19:15] need

[01:19:15] to

[01:19:15] know

[01:19:15] the

[01:19:15] ending

[01:19:16] yeah

[01:19:16] but

[01:19:17] now

[01:19:17] it

[01:19:17] might

[01:19:17] be

[01:19:17] different

[01:19:18] what

[01:19:18] yeah

[01:19:19] no

[01:19:19] it

[01:19:19] just

[01:19:20] it's

[01:19:20] tough

[01:19:20] because

[01:19:21] my

[01:19:21] answer

[01:19:22] would

[01:19:22] change

[01:19:22] on a

[01:19:23] day

[01:19:23] to

[01:19:24] day

[01:19:24] basis

[01:19:24] and

[01:19:25] I

[01:19:25] could

[01:19:25] read

[01:19:25] one

[01:19:26] article

[01:19:26] or

[01:19:27] watch

[01:19:27] one

[01:19:27] little

[01:19:28] thing

[01:19:28] and

[01:19:28] my

[01:19:28] list

[01:19:29] would

[01:19:29] shift

[01:19:29] around

[01:19:30] because

[01:19:30] it's

[01:19:31] not

[01:19:31] that

[01:19:35] the

[01:19:37] first

[01:19:43] one

[01:19:46] has

[01:19:46] always

[01:19:46] been

[01:19:47] magical

[01:19:47] because

[01:19:48] it's

[01:19:48] introduction

[01:19:48] to

[01:19:48] the

[01:19:49] world

[01:19:49] but

[01:19:50] in

[01:19:50] light

[01:19:51] of

[01:19:51] the

[01:19:51] whole

[01:19:51] scope

[01:19:52] we

[01:19:53] know

[01:19:53] now

[01:19:55] the

[01:19:56] first

[01:19:56] one

[01:19:56] just

[01:19:56] I

[01:19:57] don't

[01:19:57] know

[01:19:58] something

[01:19:58] about

[01:19:58] it

[01:19:58] just

[01:19:58] feels

[01:19:59] less

[01:20:00] impactful

[01:20:00] not

[01:20:01] like

[01:20:01] it's

[01:20:01] worse

[01:20:02] I'm

[01:20:02] not

[01:20:02] trying

[01:20:02] to

[01:20:02] hate

[01:20:02] on

[01:20:03] it

[01:20:05] so

[01:20:06] it

[01:20:06] does

[01:20:07] I

[01:20:07] don't

[01:20:07] hate

[01:20:07] any

[01:20:08] of

[01:20:08] the

[01:20:08] books

[01:20:09] it

[01:20:10] is

[01:20:10] just

[01:20:10] genuinely

[01:20:11] hard

[01:20:11] to

[01:20:11] choose

[01:20:12] because

[01:20:12] they're

[01:20:13] all

[01:20:13] great

[01:20:13] in

[01:20:13] their

[01:20:13] own

[01:20:13] way

[01:20:14] but

[01:20:15] if

[01:20:15] I

[01:20:16] right

[01:20:16] now

[01:20:16] were

[01:20:17] to

[01:20:17] say

[01:20:18] I

[01:20:18] would

[01:20:18] say

[01:20:20] four

[01:20:20] Goblet

[01:20:21] of

[01:20:21] Fire

[01:20:21] three

[01:20:22] Prisoner

[01:20:23] of

[01:20:23] Azkaban

[01:20:23] three

[01:20:24] is your

[01:20:25] second

[01:20:25] favorite

[01:20:26] I

[01:20:26] think

[01:20:26] that

[01:20:27] just

[01:20:27] trended

[01:20:27] so high

[01:20:28] I

[01:20:28] don't

[01:20:28] know

[01:20:29] why

[01:20:29] it

[01:20:29] is

[01:20:29] great

[01:20:30] when

[01:20:30] you

[01:20:30] reread

[01:20:31] it

[01:20:31] it

[01:20:31] fits

[01:20:31] it's

[01:20:32] a

[01:20:32] good

[01:20:35] the

[01:20:35] final

[01:20:36] three

[01:20:36] feels

[01:20:36] tough

[01:20:37] because

[01:20:37] Deathly

[01:20:37] Hollows

[01:20:38] I

[01:20:38] really

[01:20:38] did

[01:20:38] enjoy

[01:20:39] the

[01:20:39] ending

[01:20:39] but

[01:20:40] it

[01:20:40] left

[01:20:40] me

[01:20:40] with

[01:20:40] a

[01:20:41] couple

[01:20:41] itches

[01:20:41] so

[01:20:42] I

[01:20:42] would

[01:20:42] say

[01:20:42] Deathly

[01:20:42] Hollows

[01:20:43] then

[01:20:43] Chamber

[01:20:44] of

[01:20:44] Secrets

[01:20:44] and

[01:20:45] Philosopher's

[01:20:45] Stone

[01:21:00] I'll

[01:21:06] well

[01:21:06] yeah

[01:21:06] because

[01:21:07] the

[01:21:07] whole

[01:21:07] series

[01:21:07] black

[01:21:08] thing

[01:21:08] I

[01:21:08] think

[01:21:09] actually

[01:21:09] has

[01:21:10] a lot

[01:21:11] of

[01:21:11] merit

[01:21:11] to

[01:21:12] it

[01:21:12] as

[01:21:12] far

[01:21:12] as

[01:21:13] quality

[01:21:14] intrigue

[01:21:15] that

[01:21:17] has

[01:21:17] aged

[01:21:18] well

[01:21:18] that

[01:21:19] has

[01:21:19] aged

[01:21:19] very

[01:21:20] well

[01:21:20] and

[01:21:20] I'm

[01:21:21] looking

[01:21:22] forward

[01:21:22] to

[01:21:22] reading

[01:21:22] that

[01:21:23] again

[01:21:23] because

[01:21:24] we

[01:21:25] get

[01:21:25] more

[01:21:26] information

[01:21:26] that

[01:21:27] now

[01:21:27] we

[01:21:27] can

[01:21:28] read

[01:21:28] with

[01:21:28] a

[01:21:28] new

[01:21:28] light

[01:21:29] so

[01:21:30] I'm

[01:21:30] kind

[01:21:30] of

[01:21:31] psyched

[01:21:31] for

[01:21:31] that

[01:21:31] one

[01:21:33] it

[01:21:33] is

[01:21:33] I will

[01:21:34] say

[01:21:34] a

[01:21:35] second

[01:21:35] read

[01:21:35] is

[01:21:36] really

[01:21:36] fun

[01:21:36] like

[01:21:37] going

[01:21:37] through

[01:21:37] them

[01:21:38] then

[01:21:38] you're

[01:21:38] able

[01:21:38] to

[01:21:39] pick

[01:21:39] up

[01:21:39] on

[01:21:39] the

[01:21:39] clues

[01:21:39] that

[01:21:40] you

[01:21:40] kind

[01:21:40] of

[01:21:40] missed

[01:21:40] because

[01:21:41] the

[01:21:41] third

[01:21:41] book

[01:21:41] there's

[01:21:42] parts

[01:21:43] of me

[01:21:43] when I

[01:21:43] read

[01:21:43] the

[01:21:43] third

[01:21:44] book

[01:21:45] in the

[01:21:46] beginning

[01:21:46] I'm

[01:21:46] like

[01:21:46] okay

[01:21:47] when

[01:21:47] will

[01:21:47] this

[01:21:47] pick

[01:21:48] up

[01:21:48] and

[01:21:48] then

[01:21:48] halfway

[01:21:48] through

[01:21:49] the

[01:21:49] third

[01:21:49] book

[01:21:49] it

[01:21:49] just

[01:21:51] goes

[01:21:51] and

[01:21:53] every

[01:21:53] single

[01:21:53] time

[01:21:53] I

[01:22:04] that's

[01:22:04] why

[01:22:04] Lupin

[01:22:05] is

[01:22:05] when

[01:22:11] he's

[01:22:13] teaching

[01:22:14] the

[01:22:14] Patronus

[01:22:15] to

[01:22:15] Harry

[01:22:15] and

[01:22:16] all

[01:22:16] of

[01:22:16] these

[01:22:16] great

[01:22:16] moments

[01:22:17] so

[01:22:18] again

[01:22:18] my

[01:22:18] list

[01:22:18] might

[01:22:18] change

[01:22:20] and

[01:22:21] I

[01:22:21] will

[01:22:22] have

[01:22:22] to

[01:22:22] reorder

[01:22:22] that

[01:22:23] list

[01:22:23] as

[01:22:23] I

[01:22:23] read

[01:22:24] the

[01:22:24] second

[01:22:24] time

[01:22:24] so

[01:22:26] your

[01:22:27] final

[01:22:27] answer

[01:22:28] is

[01:22:28] you're

[01:22:29] saying

[01:22:29] Goblet

[01:22:30] of

[01:22:30] Fire

[01:22:31] is

[01:22:31] just

[01:22:31] your

[01:22:31] favorite

[01:22:32] through

[01:22:33] and

[01:22:33] through

[01:22:33] and

[01:22:33] that's

[01:22:33] been

[01:22:33] pretty

[01:22:34] consistent

[01:22:34] for us

[01:22:34] for a

[01:22:35] while

[01:22:35] yeah

[01:22:37] that makes

[01:22:38] sense

[01:22:39] and

[01:22:40] then

[01:22:40] Half

[01:22:40] Blood

[01:22:41] I

[01:22:41] think

[01:22:42] it's

[01:22:42] similar

[01:22:42] but

[01:22:42] maybe

[01:22:43] I'd

[01:22:43] flip

[01:22:43] no

[01:22:44] no

[01:22:44] that's

[01:22:44] a

[01:22:45] so

[01:22:45] you

[01:22:45] would

[01:22:46] say

[01:22:46] Goblet

[01:22:46] of

[01:22:46] Fire

[01:22:46] then

[01:22:47] Half

[01:22:47] Blood

[01:22:48] Prince

[01:22:48] maybe

[01:23:04] I

[01:23:38] it's a great list

[01:23:41] nice

[01:23:43] it is funny

[01:23:43] chamber is

[01:23:44] again when you

[01:23:45] reread it

[01:23:46] again when

[01:23:47] not if

[01:23:48] yeah respect

[01:23:49] chamber

[01:23:50] you're gonna reread

[01:23:51] chamber

[01:23:51] and it's still

[01:23:52] probably gonna rank

[01:23:53] at the bottom of your list

[01:23:54] but you're gonna reread

[01:23:54] and you're gonna be like

[01:23:55] that was just a fun book

[01:23:56] it was

[01:23:57] it's

[01:23:57] all of them are still

[01:23:58] so good

[01:23:59] they're like

[01:23:59] just great

[01:24:00] it's a great series

[01:24:01] it's so good guys

[01:24:02] so good

[01:24:04] good you started a podcast

[01:24:07] yeah exactly

[01:24:09] exactly

[01:24:10] it is funny

[01:24:11] we have someone

[01:24:12] who's in chat right now

[01:24:13] and they just said

[01:24:14] they just finished

[01:24:16] binging our podcast

[01:24:17] for the first time

[01:24:19] season one

[01:24:19] well done

[01:24:20] and it's like

[01:24:21] everyone finds us

[01:24:22] because they're looking

[01:24:22] for exactly what we have

[01:24:24] which is like a

[01:24:25] first time read experience

[01:24:27] that isn't like

[01:24:28] Potterless

[01:24:28] which is like

[01:24:29] just flamboyant

[01:24:30] and flippant

[01:24:30] and like they don't

[01:24:31] treat it with any seriousness

[01:24:32] they're like

[01:24:32] they want a first time

[01:24:33] read experience

[01:24:34] of people really

[01:24:35] going through this

[01:24:36] slow

[01:24:36] deep dives

[01:24:37] onto everything

[01:24:38] we gotcha

[01:24:39] that's what our MO is

[01:24:41] we need to take it

[01:24:41] very seriously

[01:24:42] as we should

[01:24:44] sorry for the eating

[01:24:45] yeah that is the one

[01:24:47] there is one episode

[01:24:48] where you're eating popcorn

[01:24:50] and people cannot get

[01:24:51] through that episode

[01:24:52] that is so funny

[01:24:54] oh my goodness

[01:24:58] we

[01:24:59] Chewy

[01:24:59] so Chewy

[01:25:00] was one of the most

[01:25:02] instrumental people

[01:25:03] in this podcast

[01:25:04] to behind the scenes

[01:25:04] because he recorded

[01:25:05] all your predictions

[01:25:07] which I still have to

[01:25:08] go through all

[01:25:09] all of them

[01:25:09] and maybe just

[01:25:10] individually with us

[01:25:10] three we can kind

[01:25:11] of go through

[01:25:11] some of those

[01:25:12] even like online

[01:25:13] or something like that

[01:25:13] just to see what

[01:25:14] you've

[01:25:15] what you've

[01:25:16] created

[01:25:16] I think I won

[01:25:18] I think you might have

[01:25:20] we'll see

[01:25:21] we'll see

[01:25:22] did you guys

[01:25:23] have a favorite

[01:25:23] prediction

[01:25:25] that you guys

[01:25:25] made in the series

[01:25:27] wait

[01:25:27] say that again

[01:25:28] do you guys

[01:25:28] have a favorite

[01:25:29] prediction

[01:25:29] that you made

[01:25:30] in the series

[01:25:30] like what was

[01:25:31] one thing

[01:25:31] that you predicted

[01:25:32] that you got

[01:25:33] right

[01:25:33] well I said

[01:25:34] it just before

[01:25:35] I got so excited

[01:25:36] that I think

[01:25:37] that was your

[01:25:38] the imposter

[01:25:38] I'm like how

[01:25:39] could I have

[01:25:40] gotten that

[01:25:40] yeah

[01:25:40] yeah that was

[01:25:41] I mean I'm sure

[01:25:42] other people have

[01:25:43] too but

[01:25:43] yeah

[01:25:44] that was very

[01:25:45] satisfying

[01:25:45] I feel like

[01:25:46] the scabbers

[01:25:47] prediction was

[01:25:48] very satisfying

[01:25:49] yeah that was

[01:25:49] great

[01:25:49] only because

[01:25:50] that there was

[01:25:51] not a doubt

[01:25:52] in my mind

[01:25:53] it all just

[01:25:53] came together

[01:25:54] it clicked

[01:25:54] in a way

[01:25:55] that was

[01:25:55] satisfying

[01:25:56] only because

[01:25:57] of the timing

[01:25:58] and the 13

[01:25:58] years and I was

[01:25:59] like there it is

[01:26:00] yeah

[01:26:00] and a lot of

[01:26:01] predictions never

[01:26:02] felt like that

[01:26:03] it was more

[01:26:04] of a lot

[01:26:06] of other

[01:26:06] predictions were

[01:26:07] more of throwing

[01:26:08] something out

[01:26:08] there and then

[01:26:09] some of them

[01:26:09] stuck and that's

[01:26:10] fun too

[01:26:10] but I feel like

[01:26:11] those early

[01:26:12] predictions were

[01:26:13] fun just

[01:26:14] because we

[01:26:16] actually knew

[01:26:17] we were hot

[01:26:18] on the trail

[01:26:18] you know we

[01:26:19] were like chasing

[01:26:20] down the leads

[01:26:21] there

[01:26:23] so yeah I

[01:26:24] would say the

[01:26:24] goblet of fire

[01:26:25] predictions and

[01:26:27] scabbers those

[01:26:28] were some

[01:26:29] highlights for

[01:26:30] maybe you

[01:26:30] beat me then

[01:26:31] I don't

[01:26:31] remember

[01:26:32] no I mean

[01:26:33] you guys were

[01:26:33] pretty close

[01:26:34] Danny was

[01:26:35] you know

[01:26:35] casting a

[01:26:35] wide

[01:26:36] yeah I was

[01:26:36] going to say

[01:26:36] if we were

[01:26:37] even tied

[01:26:38] it definitely

[01:26:39] goes to you

[01:26:39] because I

[01:26:40] just said

[01:26:41] way too much

[01:26:42] so it's not a fair

[01:26:43] comparison

[01:26:43] if it's on

[01:26:44] like you know

[01:26:46] proportionally

[01:26:46] yeah yeah

[01:26:47] you would

[01:26:48] destroy Danny

[01:26:49] I predicted

[01:26:50] a thousand things

[01:26:51] you made like

[01:26:52] ten predictions

[01:26:52] and like nine

[01:26:53] of them was true

[01:26:54] yep

[01:26:54] Danny made like

[01:26:55] ten thousand

[01:26:56] and nine of them

[01:26:56] were true

[01:26:57] yeah so it's

[01:26:58] a bad ratio

[01:26:59] there is an

[01:27:00] episode that I

[01:27:01] would love for

[01:27:02] us to listen

[01:27:03] to again because

[01:27:04] you asked us like

[01:27:05] to predict what

[01:27:06] would happen in

[01:27:06] the rest of the

[01:27:07] book like in

[01:27:08] the series

[01:27:09] yep I remember

[01:27:10] that and I

[01:27:10] remember talking

[01:27:11] going on and

[01:27:12] on about

[01:27:12] Dumbledore and

[01:27:13] what I thought

[01:27:13] was gonna happen

[01:27:14] but I don't

[01:27:15] remember it

[01:27:16] but I was like

[01:27:16] oh how

[01:27:17] what things

[01:27:18] were I close

[01:27:19] to and what

[01:27:20] things were we

[01:27:20] so far off

[01:27:21] and I just

[01:27:23] thought of the

[01:27:23] moment of

[01:27:23] predicting that

[01:27:24] either Fred or

[01:27:25] George would die

[01:27:26] because that also

[01:27:27] was a moment of

[01:27:28] clarity for me

[01:27:28] when I think I

[01:27:29] was saying

[01:27:30] something and I

[01:27:30] was like oh my

[01:27:31] goodness they're

[01:27:32] not both gonna

[01:27:32] survive yeah

[01:27:33] because they're

[01:27:34] twins so it'd be

[01:27:35] so easy to kill

[01:27:36] one of them but

[01:27:37] I don't know if

[01:27:38] there were any

[01:27:38] other really how I

[01:27:39] thought he was

[01:27:40] always good and I

[01:27:41] wasn't so convinced

[01:27:43] yeah yeah some

[01:27:44] people still aren't

[01:27:48] well the ultimate

[01:27:50] questions is Snape

[01:27:51] good

[01:27:52] it is it is kind

[01:27:53] of fun too because

[01:27:54] it was yeah in my

[01:27:56] perspective just sitting

[01:27:57] back and listening to

[01:27:58] you guys do your

[01:27:58] predictions it was so

[01:27:59] fun because there

[01:28:01] were times where you

[01:28:02] guys just nailed it

[01:28:03] and me and Christian

[01:28:05] just had to keep our

[01:28:05] mouth shut or we

[01:28:06] just give each other

[01:28:07] a look or like

[01:28:08] something we were

[01:28:08] like sweating over

[01:28:10] here and the

[01:28:11] Goblet of Fire one

[01:28:12] was particularly fun

[01:28:13] I think that was one

[01:28:13] of the best moments

[01:28:14] in the podcast

[01:28:15] because we were

[01:28:16] still at a pace

[01:28:17] where we were going

[01:28:17] faster through the

[01:28:18] series and like you

[01:28:19] guys like you just

[01:28:20] Jen just got it

[01:28:21] like one of my

[01:28:22] favorites was in

[01:28:23] the third one too

[01:28:24] where Danny just

[01:28:24] sent me a bunch of

[01:28:25] voice notes of like

[01:28:25] how much he got in

[01:28:27] that series and

[01:28:28] that was great but

[01:28:29] then when you guys

[01:28:29] piece everything

[01:28:30] together in the

[01:28:30] fourth book because

[01:28:31] really you shouldn't

[01:28:32] be able to piece

[01:28:32] things together and

[01:28:33] then when you got

[01:28:34] that I remember

[01:28:35] sitting here like

[01:28:36] sweating and then

[01:28:38] everyone's like

[01:28:38] mentioning it in the

[01:28:39] in the pot in the

[01:28:41] chat too I just

[01:28:42] became good at

[01:28:42] gaslighting where I

[01:28:43] was like I don't

[01:28:44] know if that's

[01:28:44] really gonna happen

[01:28:45] I don't think so

[01:28:45] I felt so bad

[01:28:48] but toward the end

[01:28:50] toward the end of

[01:28:51] the podcast when you

[01:28:52] guys started nailing

[01:28:52] like horcrux

[01:28:53] predictions or like

[01:28:54] what is what in

[01:28:55] the series too that

[01:28:56] was so fun for me

[01:28:58] because it really

[01:29:01] made me feel like a

[01:29:01] first-time reader

[01:29:02] again it made me

[01:29:03] feel like the places

[01:29:04] you guys are at in

[01:29:05] the book like I

[01:29:05] would continuously

[01:29:06] go over like okay

[01:29:07] you know what is

[01:29:08] what are the

[01:29:09] horcruxes where

[01:29:10] are they and you

[01:29:10] guys have come up

[01:29:11] with locations like

[01:29:12] you even even even

[01:29:14] the idea of of

[01:29:15] horcruxes when you

[01:29:16] guys predicted that

[01:29:17] you predicted that

[01:29:18] earlier on before

[01:29:19] horcruxes were

[01:29:19] even mentioned and

[01:29:21] I'm like you guys

[01:29:23] just had so many

[01:29:24] good moments in

[01:29:25] this of good

[01:29:25] predictions that

[01:29:26] you guys don't

[01:29:27] even realize that

[01:29:28] when we go over

[01:29:29] some of the

[01:29:29] predictions and

[01:29:30] when we look at

[01:29:30] some of that

[01:29:31] stuff I think

[01:29:31] you guys are

[01:29:31] gonna be pretty

[01:29:32] blown away by

[01:29:32] some of the

[01:29:33] stuff that you

[01:29:33] actually look

[01:29:34] through in the

[01:29:35] series and I

[01:29:36] think we were

[01:29:37] helped a little

[01:29:37] bit by your

[01:29:39] questions where you

[01:29:41] would ask us things

[01:29:43] that I don't know

[01:29:44] if you put

[01:29:44] anything in our

[01:29:45] minds but you

[01:29:46] at least you did

[01:29:48] such a good job

[01:29:49] early on because

[01:29:49] I've listened to

[01:29:50] some of the

[01:29:50] episodes where

[01:29:51] you ask questions

[01:29:52] that then we

[01:29:54] realize are hinting

[01:29:55] at things which is

[01:29:56] so great but I

[01:29:58] feel like then you

[01:29:59] could plant some

[01:30:00] seeds that maybe

[01:30:01] bloomed and

[01:30:02] blossomed into

[01:30:03] things so if we

[01:30:05] got any guesses

[01:30:06] about some of the

[01:30:07] absurd stuff we

[01:30:09] maybe can't take

[01:30:10] all the credit

[01:30:10] but it was so

[01:30:12] good

[01:30:12] that man and

[01:30:13] moody one though

[01:30:14] he didn't give us

[01:30:15] any tips on that

[01:30:16] I didn't

[01:30:16] yeah and what did

[01:30:17] we think about

[01:30:18] that we thought it

[01:30:18] was Barty Crouch

[01:30:19] senior

[01:30:20] yeah

[01:30:22] now I'm curious

[01:30:23] just to like check

[01:30:25] us a little bit

[01:30:25] it's not like we

[01:30:26] nailed it

[01:30:27] you know but

[01:30:27] like pretty close

[01:30:28] because our big

[01:30:29] thing was the map

[01:30:31] and so Harry's

[01:30:32] looking at the

[01:30:33] Marauders map and

[01:30:33] we're like it's on

[01:30:34] the map it has to

[01:30:35] be him but then

[01:30:36] now I'm curious

[01:30:37] looking back like

[01:30:38] how we were

[01:30:39] exactly thinking

[01:30:40] it wasn't Mad

[01:30:40] Eye Moody

[01:30:41] like how

[01:30:42] right we knew

[01:30:42] that it wasn't

[01:30:43] him and we

[01:30:45] didn't even remember

[01:30:46] that he was

[01:30:46] swigging out of

[01:30:47] his flask did we

[01:30:48] because that

[01:30:49] would have helped

[01:30:49] seal the deal

[01:30:50] I know that

[01:30:50] would have

[01:30:50] sealed the deal

[01:30:51] but then I think

[01:30:52] when that came up

[01:30:52] we're like oh

[01:30:53] yeah of course

[01:30:53] yeah he was I

[01:30:55] remember that but

[01:30:55] I wouldn't have

[01:30:56] put it together

[01:30:56] right

[01:30:57] um

[01:30:58] so good though

[01:30:59] yeah that was

[01:31:00] so good

[01:31:01] yeah

[01:31:01] yeah

[01:31:02] and then watching

[01:31:03] the movie felt so

[01:31:04] different because

[01:31:05] we're like

[01:31:05] watching the

[01:31:06] from the beginning

[01:31:07] I know

[01:31:08] I'm like that

[01:31:09] was dumb

[01:31:09] it's so much

[01:31:10] more fun but I

[01:31:11] guess they can't

[01:31:12] expand on it

[01:31:13] yeah

[01:31:13] and those are

[01:31:14] going to be some

[01:31:15] of the interesting

[01:31:15] choices in the

[01:31:16] show too

[01:31:17] stupid little tongue

[01:31:18] thing

[01:31:18] oh my gosh

[01:31:19] drives me absolutely

[01:31:21] crazy

[01:31:30] one of the most

[01:31:31] fun parts for me

[01:31:31] where I actually

[01:31:32] had to like you

[01:31:33] know put things

[01:31:34] into the into

[01:31:34] the podcast that

[01:31:35] fans who have

[01:31:36] read this would

[01:31:37] know but uh

[01:31:39] I did that so

[01:31:40] many times and

[01:31:41] that was like my

[01:31:41] favorite part of

[01:31:42] the podcast

[01:31:42] yeah

[01:31:44] when I asked you

[01:31:45] guys a question

[01:31:45] I mean like the

[01:31:46] most obvious one

[01:31:46] was like there's a

[01:31:47] there's a you

[01:31:48] know a word that

[01:31:49] harry potter fans

[01:31:49] always always always

[01:31:51] always

[01:31:51] yeah that was

[01:31:52] I like spelled

[01:31:53] it out for you

[01:31:53] guys

[01:31:54] oh yeah

[01:31:54] a few times

[01:31:55] sitting here

[01:31:58] I did that

[01:31:59] with a few

[01:31:59] different questions

[01:32:00] but I think I

[01:32:01] got you back

[01:32:01] because I said

[01:32:02] oh it has to be

[01:32:03] always

[01:32:03] that's for

[01:32:04] everything

[01:32:05] when we were

[01:32:06] wedding playing

[01:32:07] yeah

[01:32:07] like

[01:32:08] I know

[01:32:09] they spoiled it

[01:32:09] but then he

[01:32:10] said no

[01:32:10] he said no

[01:32:11] no

[01:32:11] gaslighting

[01:32:12] yeah you have

[01:32:13] to gaslight

[01:32:13] it's the only

[01:32:14] option

[01:32:15] so mean

[01:32:16] it's not fair

[01:32:18] you're supposed

[01:32:18] to be on my

[01:32:19] side

[01:32:22] but all right

[01:32:22] let's wrap it

[01:32:23] up let's go

[01:32:23] over

[01:32:25] the final

[01:32:26] of the entire

[01:32:27] series

[01:32:27] what is your

[01:32:29] who is your

[01:32:29] hot tamale

[01:32:30] of the whole

[01:32:30] series

[01:32:30] who is your

[01:32:33] favorite character

[01:32:35] and what is your

[01:32:36] favorite moment

[01:32:36] in the whole

[01:32:37] series

[01:32:44] I'm just gonna

[01:32:45] stick with

[01:32:46] Ginny as my

[01:32:46] hot tamale

[01:32:47] yeah she's a

[01:32:47] good hot tamale

[01:32:48] that's a good

[01:32:48] one

[01:32:51] favorite character

[01:32:53] and scene

[01:32:54] scenes are so

[01:32:55] hard

[01:32:58] there's a lot

[01:32:59] yeah there's a

[01:33:00] lot in there

[01:33:00] some of them

[01:33:01] are really

[01:33:01] far away

[01:33:02] I know

[01:33:04] what rises

[01:33:05] to the surface

[01:33:06] anything in

[01:33:07] particular

[01:33:08] it probably

[01:33:09] would just be

[01:33:10] like those

[01:33:10] ones like

[01:33:11] those aha

[01:33:12] ones where

[01:33:12] you start

[01:33:13] like figuring

[01:33:14] out like we

[01:33:14] were talking

[01:33:15] about the

[01:33:15] mad-eye

[01:33:16] moody or

[01:33:16] like when

[01:33:18] we find about

[01:33:19] snape

[01:33:19] maybe like I

[01:33:21] like I like

[01:33:22] the discovery

[01:33:22] one so

[01:33:23] that was one

[01:33:25] of those were

[01:33:25] my favorite

[01:33:26] those were the

[01:33:26] ones I was

[01:33:27] rushing to

[01:33:28] get to

[01:33:29] um

[01:33:31] and favorite

[01:33:33] character

[01:33:35] oh that

[01:33:37] one's hard

[01:33:37] I can't pick

[01:33:38] one

[01:33:41] I like

[01:33:43] Hermione a

[01:33:44] lot

[01:33:44] yeah

[01:33:45] she's like

[01:33:47] relatable

[01:33:47] and I

[01:33:49] can see

[01:33:50] myself in

[01:33:50] her sometimes

[01:33:51] yeah

[01:33:52] so maybe

[01:33:54] her

[01:33:54] since she's

[01:33:55] the whole

[01:33:56] way through

[01:33:57] the book

[01:33:58] well I'll

[01:33:59] say hot

[01:34:00] to Molly

[01:34:01] I'll give

[01:34:01] it to

[01:34:02] Ron

[01:34:04] um

[01:34:04] it's a

[01:34:05] great one

[01:34:06] yeah I

[01:34:06] love it

[01:34:06] I just feel

[01:34:07] like overall

[01:34:09] he added

[01:34:10] such levity

[01:34:11] to moments

[01:34:13] um and

[01:34:14] he was such

[01:34:15] a good like

[01:34:15] encourager

[01:34:16] and he kept

[01:34:17] things

[01:34:19] light

[01:34:19] and fun

[01:34:22] and I

[01:34:23] don't think

[01:34:24] Harry could

[01:34:24] have done

[01:34:24] this without

[01:34:25] him

[01:34:25] same is

[01:34:26] true for

[01:34:26] Hermione

[01:34:26] to be fair

[01:34:27] and I

[01:34:27] think in

[01:34:28] she had a

[01:34:28] lot more

[01:34:29] tangible

[01:34:29] um

[01:34:30] contributions

[01:34:31] but

[01:34:34] yeah so

[01:34:35] recently maybe

[01:34:35] that's how I

[01:34:36] viewed Ron

[01:34:36] so hot

[01:34:37] tamale for

[01:34:38] sure

[01:34:38] and I'm

[01:34:39] saying that

[01:34:39] partially so

[01:34:40] I can give

[01:34:40] the house

[01:34:41] cup favorite

[01:34:42] character to

[01:34:43] Harry

[01:34:44] yeah

[01:34:44] because I

[01:34:46] feel like by

[01:34:46] the end of

[01:34:47] it he just

[01:34:47] deserved it

[01:34:48] you know

[01:34:48] and it's like

[01:34:49] it's a little

[01:34:50] cheating you

[01:34:50] know it's

[01:34:51] it's his

[01:34:52] story but

[01:34:54] I do feel

[01:34:55] like

[01:34:56] I like forget

[01:34:57] about him

[01:34:57] well I know

[01:34:58] and even in the

[01:34:59] way we talk

[01:34:59] about a lot

[01:35:00] of things

[01:35:00] it's just the

[01:35:00] most obvious

[01:35:01] yeah it's like

[01:35:02] a little too

[01:35:03] obvious but

[01:35:03] it it does

[01:35:05] feel like

[01:35:06] it wouldn't be

[01:35:07] fair to the

[01:35:08] way I actually

[01:35:08] view the story

[01:35:09] if I gave it

[01:35:11] to anybody

[01:35:11] else because

[01:35:13] maybe it's

[01:35:14] so obvious

[01:35:15] to people

[01:35:15] that they

[01:35:16] don't talk

[01:35:16] about Harry

[01:35:17] anymore so

[01:35:18] he feels like

[01:35:18] the forgotten

[01:35:19] character even

[01:35:20] though he's

[01:35:20] the main

[01:35:20] character

[01:35:23] so at the

[01:35:24] moment he

[01:35:24] is not the

[01:35:25] forgotten

[01:35:25] character for

[01:35:26] me he

[01:35:27] he'll get

[01:35:28] my house

[01:35:29] cup because

[01:35:30] I just feel

[01:35:31] like through

[01:35:31] and through

[01:35:32] we saw his

[01:35:32] arc and it

[01:35:33] was great

[01:35:34] and it was

[01:35:34] satisfying

[01:35:35] so and

[01:35:38] I related to

[01:35:39] him in some

[01:35:39] ways too

[01:35:39] it felt like

[01:35:41] in his

[01:35:42] flaws

[01:35:43] they were

[01:35:44] reasonable

[01:35:44] it was like

[01:35:46] you see the

[01:35:47] growth you

[01:35:48] can root for

[01:35:48] him but

[01:35:49] you see a

[01:35:49] good heart

[01:35:51] so Harry

[01:35:53] harder to

[01:35:54] choose the

[01:35:54] best moment

[01:35:55] though

[01:35:55] yeah it's

[01:35:56] one of the

[01:35:56] toughest

[01:35:56] so tough

[01:35:57] or like even

[01:35:58] just favorite

[01:35:59] chapter was

[01:36:00] there like a

[01:36:00] chapter that

[01:36:00] stuck out to

[01:36:01] you guys most

[01:36:02] yeah because I

[01:36:03] remember every

[01:36:04] chapter from

[01:36:04] us

[01:36:06] we should we

[01:36:07] went three at

[01:36:08] a time

[01:36:09] I mean I

[01:36:10] still remember

[01:36:11] yeah we

[01:36:11] still remember

[01:36:12] my first read

[01:36:13] of reading

[01:36:14] through I

[01:36:15] mean I was

[01:36:16] in high school

[01:36:16] so it was a

[01:36:16] different reading

[01:36:17] experience but

[01:36:17] reading through

[01:36:18] the cave I

[01:36:18] still think is

[01:36:19] my favorite

[01:36:19] chapter of

[01:36:20] the whole

[01:36:20] series because

[01:36:21] of how dark

[01:36:24] and action

[01:36:25] packed and

[01:36:25] like intense

[01:36:27] it was I

[01:36:27] still remember

[01:36:28] like not being

[01:36:30] able to read

[01:36:30] fast enough but

[01:36:31] not being able

[01:36:31] to read slow

[01:36:32] enough like I

[01:36:32] it was like

[01:36:33] agony I

[01:36:34] could I had to

[01:36:34] read like

[01:36:34] paragraphs over

[01:36:35] again because I

[01:36:36] wanted to get

[01:36:36] to the next

[01:36:36] one but I

[01:36:37] couldn't yeah

[01:36:38] I had to reread

[01:36:39] that last one

[01:36:40] because I didn't

[01:36:40] know where I

[01:36:40] was going and

[01:36:41] I was like it

[01:36:41] was so

[01:36:42] discombobulating but

[01:36:43] I remember that

[01:36:43] chapter so much

[01:36:44] because it was

[01:36:45] like culminating

[01:36:45] at this moment

[01:36:46] trying to figure

[01:36:47] out what they

[01:36:48] were what they

[01:36:48] were doing

[01:36:48] where they

[01:36:49] were going

[01:36:51] and I still

[01:36:52] remember that

[01:36:53] chapter so

[01:36:53] clearly on my

[01:36:54] first read but

[01:36:55] that was I mean I

[01:36:56] was in high school

[01:36:57] maybe it's a bit

[01:36:57] more like memorable

[01:36:58] when you're going

[01:36:59] through it especially

[01:37:00] because like people

[01:37:01] are still talking

[01:37:02] about the series

[01:37:02] then that was

[01:37:04] when the books

[01:37:04] had just come out

[01:37:05] so it was

[01:37:06] probably a little

[01:37:06] bit different

[01:37:07] from reading it

[01:37:07] in like with the

[01:37:09] waves that we

[01:37:09] read it in which

[01:37:11] maybe it's a little

[01:37:12] less memorable for

[01:37:13] certain chapters and

[01:37:14] or moments or

[01:37:15] did you I think

[01:37:16] it's just the way

[01:37:16] I read things

[01:37:17] yeah yeah

[01:37:18] also for sure

[01:37:19] I just remember it

[01:37:20] in like a lump sum

[01:37:20] yeah

[01:37:21] did you have other

[01:37:24] friends that were

[01:37:25] reading at the same

[01:37:25] time for the like

[01:37:27] as they were coming

[01:37:27] out um and

[01:37:29] then like was it

[01:37:29] a race weirdly I

[01:37:31] I remember

[01:37:33] it would be for

[01:37:34] me

[01:37:35] I don't remember

[01:37:37] a ton of other

[01:37:38] friends that I had

[01:37:39] at the moment

[01:37:40] reading it I

[01:37:40] remember people I

[01:37:42] played soccer with

[01:37:43] like I remember

[01:37:43] when I was in

[01:37:44] middle school and

[01:37:45] talking about it

[01:37:46] with your brother

[01:37:46] to some extent

[01:37:47] really yeah I

[01:37:49] was playing rec

[01:37:50] soccer and he and

[01:37:51] we were on opposing

[01:37:52] teams for rec soccer

[01:37:53] but we played in the

[01:37:53] same traveling team

[01:37:54] and I remember we

[01:37:55] were just sitting

[01:37:56] there talking about

[01:37:56] it and Dan one

[01:37:57] of our other like

[01:37:58] intermediate not this

[01:37:59] Dan another Dan

[01:38:01] came and was

[01:38:01] talking about the

[01:38:02] series and I

[01:38:03] hadn't read it at

[01:38:04] that point and I

[01:38:05] remember I finished

[01:38:06] it and then I

[01:38:07] think I talked to

[01:38:07] like Eddie and

[01:38:08] Peter at it at a

[01:38:09] practice about like

[01:38:10] you know where I

[01:38:10] was in the series

[01:38:12] or something like

[01:38:12] that I forgot

[01:38:13] exactly what it

[01:38:14] was but I still

[01:38:15] have like a weird

[01:38:15] memory of that

[01:38:17] um but when I

[01:38:18] when I read it

[01:38:19] it was very much

[01:38:19] like individual

[01:38:21] um and then I

[01:38:23] I would read

[01:38:24] things online and

[01:38:25] I would read

[01:38:25] theories of things

[01:38:26] that were going

[01:38:27] to happen in

[01:38:27] between the series

[01:38:28] so it was still

[01:38:29] like individual

[01:38:30] but you're part

[01:38:30] of this larger

[01:38:31] community

[01:38:31] yeah yeah

[01:38:32] so it was just

[01:38:33] such a fun

[01:38:34] experience

[01:38:34] I can't believe

[01:38:36] man

[01:38:36] yeah

[01:38:38] I think I'll

[01:38:39] say my

[01:38:41] favorite moment

[01:38:42] probably or

[01:38:44] scenes that stood

[01:38:45] out because we've

[01:38:46] covered some of

[01:38:47] those already a

[01:38:47] little bit like

[01:38:48] Diagon Alley was

[01:38:49] you know stood

[01:38:50] out in its own

[01:38:50] way the Triwizard

[01:38:52] tournament I feel

[01:38:53] like yeah is

[01:38:54] defining to the

[01:38:55] series for me

[01:38:56] um when I think

[01:38:59] of the series I

[01:39:00] do go back to

[01:39:01] that that's one

[01:39:02] of my first

[01:39:03] thoughts all of

[01:39:05] the events of

[01:39:05] the Triwizard

[01:39:06] tournament um

[01:39:07] specifically the

[01:39:08] one on the lake

[01:39:08] for some reason

[01:39:09] yeah that's true

[01:39:10] um so yeah

[01:39:11] Goblet of Fire

[01:39:12] very influential

[01:39:14] in the way I

[01:39:15] view the whole

[01:39:16] story I think

[01:39:17] it's the right

[01:39:18] middle ground of

[01:39:19] playful and warm

[01:39:22] mysterious and

[01:39:23] then starting to

[01:39:23] get dark as well

[01:39:24] yeah at the end

[01:39:25] so yeah it kind

[01:39:26] of sums it up in

[01:39:27] my mind

[01:39:29] that's great

[01:39:32] um I think I

[01:39:35] actually thought

[01:39:36] of things

[01:39:38] I think I want to

[01:39:39] give the hot

[01:39:40] tamale to

[01:39:40] mrs weasley

[01:39:41] oh yeah

[01:39:42] that's a great

[01:39:42] one

[01:39:43] that's a great

[01:39:44] one

[01:39:45] um

[01:39:46] especially at

[01:39:46] the end

[01:39:47] yeah

[01:39:47] yeah

[01:39:48] oh yeah

[01:39:48] loved that fire

[01:39:50] and you know

[01:39:51] her and mr

[01:39:52] weasley

[01:39:53] with her love

[01:39:54] potion

[01:39:54] yeah

[01:39:55] oh gosh

[01:39:56] that's funny

[01:39:56] and their nickname

[01:39:59] or something

[01:40:00] yeah

[01:40:00] Molly Wobbles

[01:40:01] yeah

[01:40:02] they were cute

[01:40:04] yeah

[01:40:05] so I'll give

[01:40:06] that to her

[01:40:06] and then I

[01:40:07] think I

[01:40:09] want to give

[01:40:11] the house cup

[01:40:13] to Dumbledore

[01:40:13] hmm

[01:40:15] whoa

[01:40:16] yeah

[01:40:17] um

[01:40:18] I just

[01:40:19] I love

[01:40:21] that he

[01:40:22] acknowledges

[01:40:22] he's flawed

[01:40:23] yeah

[01:40:24] he made

[01:40:25] mistakes

[01:40:25] he made

[01:40:26] mistakes

[01:40:26] when he was

[01:40:27] younger

[01:40:27] he tried

[01:40:28] to like

[01:40:30] account for

[01:40:31] them as

[01:40:31] he got

[01:40:31] older

[01:40:32] he made

[01:40:33] mistakes

[01:40:33] when he

[01:40:34] was older

[01:40:34] but he

[01:40:35] never claimed

[01:40:36] to be

[01:40:37] perfect

[01:40:38] you know

[01:40:39] people

[01:40:40] tended to

[01:40:40] view him

[01:40:41] that way

[01:40:41] but I

[01:40:43] just love

[01:40:43] the complexities

[01:40:43] behind

[01:40:45] him

[01:40:46] and I

[01:40:47] guess

[01:40:47] some of

[01:40:47] my favorite

[01:40:48] moments

[01:40:48] were

[01:40:48] his

[01:40:50] quotes

[01:40:50] at the

[01:40:51] end

[01:40:51] of the

[01:40:52] last

[01:40:52] book

[01:40:52] just like

[01:40:53] the wisdom

[01:40:55] I can't

[01:40:56] remember

[01:40:56] specifics

[01:40:57] but I

[01:40:57] just remember

[01:40:58] really really

[01:40:58] liking that

[01:40:59] like the

[01:41:00] conversations

[01:41:01] yeah

[01:41:01] in King's

[01:41:02] Cross

[01:41:02] and stuff

[01:41:03] like that

[01:41:03] yeah

[01:41:03] so good

[01:41:05] yeah

[01:41:05] so I'd go

[01:41:06] with that

[01:41:07] yeah

[01:41:08] it's great

[01:41:09] I was like

[01:41:10] when's he in

[01:41:10] King's Cross

[01:41:12] yeah so true

[01:41:15] um

[01:41:16] I'm not gonna

[01:41:17] pick my typical

[01:41:17] favorite characters

[01:41:18] for all this

[01:41:19] kind of stuff

[01:41:19] were hot tamales

[01:41:20] I'm gonna give

[01:41:21] a hot tamale

[01:41:23] this time

[01:41:24] to

[01:41:26] um

[01:41:30] Regulus

[01:41:32] it was fun

[01:41:33] reading it this

[01:41:33] time and being

[01:41:34] like like

[01:41:34] thinking of

[01:41:35] just what

[01:41:37] that I would

[01:41:37] again

[01:41:38] like a series

[01:41:40] on him

[01:41:41] would be

[01:41:41] so good

[01:41:42] so fascinating

[01:41:43] and he's like

[01:41:45] an underwritten

[01:41:45] character

[01:41:45] but it's great

[01:41:46] such

[01:41:47] such a fascinating

[01:41:49] backstory

[01:41:49] just to see

[01:41:50] like how he

[01:41:50] left

[01:41:51] I think he has

[01:41:52] a lot of hot

[01:41:52] tamale energy

[01:41:53] I would love

[01:41:54] a series on him

[01:41:55] I think he'd

[01:41:56] be a great

[01:41:56] like anti-villain

[01:41:58] like like someone

[01:41:59] who goes back

[01:42:00] and forth

[01:42:01] and like finally

[01:42:02] decides

[01:42:02] makes a good

[01:42:03] like a decision

[01:42:04] for the good

[01:42:05] I think that'd

[01:42:06] be such a good

[01:42:06] one

[01:42:07] so he's

[01:42:07] he's kind of

[01:42:08] my hot tamale

[01:42:08] yeah

[01:42:09] um

[01:42:10] my favorite

[01:42:11] character in

[01:42:12] this read

[01:42:14] um

[01:42:16] which was

[01:42:16] how many

[01:42:17] reads

[01:42:18] it's like

[01:42:18] you know

[01:42:19] yeah I don't

[01:42:20] know I lost

[01:42:21] count

[01:42:21] 15 16

[01:42:22] oh really

[01:42:24] like up there

[01:42:25] yeah it's

[01:42:26] a while

[01:42:27] because I

[01:42:27] would always

[01:42:28] just have this

[01:42:29] on listening

[01:42:29] to it somewhere

[01:42:30] so I've like

[01:42:30] lost track

[01:42:31] of how many

[01:42:31] times I've

[01:42:31] actually done

[01:42:32] it but I've

[01:42:33] probably read

[01:42:34] it through

[01:42:36] six or seven

[01:42:36] times and probably

[01:42:37] listened to it

[01:42:37] through like ten

[01:42:38] times

[01:42:39] wow

[01:42:40] yeah

[01:42:40] it's a lot

[01:42:41] he never

[01:42:42] stops

[01:42:42] basically

[01:42:43] yeah

[01:42:44] pretty much

[01:42:45] just continual

[01:42:48] um

[01:42:49] favorite character

[01:42:50] this series

[01:42:51] in read

[01:42:52] through

[01:42:52] was probably

[01:42:55] ron

[01:42:56] I think I have

[01:42:56] to give it

[01:42:57] to ron

[01:42:57] in this one

[01:42:57] um

[01:42:58] I just love

[01:42:59] his loyalty

[01:43:00] he's

[01:43:02] he's uh

[01:43:03] been one of

[01:43:03] those characters

[01:43:04] who's like

[01:43:04] slowly risen up

[01:43:05] in the rankings

[01:43:06] for the last

[01:43:07] few years

[01:43:08] and I

[01:43:08] initially loved

[01:43:09] him but I

[01:43:10] didn't you know

[01:43:10] he wasn't like

[01:43:10] he's like too

[01:43:11] typical of a

[01:43:12] favorite character

[01:43:13] um but this

[01:43:14] time I read

[01:43:15] him and I

[01:43:15] think he's

[01:43:16] like so

[01:43:16] integral to

[01:43:17] the trio

[01:43:18] um just

[01:43:19] yeah again

[01:43:20] even what you

[01:43:20] said Danny

[01:43:21] bringing levity

[01:43:21] to certain

[01:43:22] situations

[01:43:22] and like

[01:43:23] really like

[01:43:23] letting the

[01:43:24] trio go on

[01:43:24] in the fourth

[01:43:25] or in the

[01:43:25] seventh book

[01:43:26] just really

[01:43:26] like pushing

[01:43:27] him on

[01:43:27] he abandons

[01:43:28] them but then

[01:43:29] comes back

[01:43:29] and like is

[01:43:29] very gung-ho

[01:43:30] about things

[01:43:31] um

[01:43:32] reading him

[01:43:33] this time was

[01:43:34] just really fun

[01:43:35] like seeing

[01:43:35] how he works

[01:43:36] is all like

[01:43:37] his yeah

[01:43:38] his inner

[01:43:38] workings

[01:43:38] was really

[01:43:39] great

[01:43:40] and then

[01:43:41] favorite moment

[01:43:42] in this series

[01:43:42] and this is

[01:43:43] like a very

[01:43:43] typical one

[01:43:44] that people

[01:43:44] give but

[01:43:45] the mirror

[01:43:46] of Arasad

[01:43:46] chapter just

[01:43:47] struck me

[01:43:47] so much

[01:43:48] like when I

[01:43:49] was reading

[01:43:49] that for

[01:43:50] this time

[01:43:50] I did like

[01:43:51] even well up

[01:43:52] a little bit

[01:43:53] like I teared

[01:43:53] up at that

[01:43:54] chapter because

[01:43:54] I think it's

[01:43:55] really one of

[01:43:56] her best

[01:43:56] written chapters

[01:43:57] ever um

[01:43:58] just of what

[01:43:59] Harry desire

[01:44:00] like it's the

[01:44:00] first time he

[01:44:01] sees his parents

[01:44:01] the first time

[01:44:02] he really can

[01:44:03] recognize what

[01:44:03] his desires are

[01:44:04] and how much

[01:44:05] he desires his

[01:44:05] parents and

[01:44:06] then how that

[01:44:07] curtails with the

[01:44:08] end of the book

[01:44:08] where he just

[01:44:09] he sees his

[01:44:10] parents grave

[01:44:11] and he just

[01:44:12] wants to like go

[01:44:13] down and be with

[01:44:13] them and then

[01:44:14] the very very end

[01:44:16] of the book where

[01:44:16] he like actually

[01:44:17] sees them again

[01:44:17] and is like on

[01:44:19] the verge of

[01:44:19] death and is

[01:44:20] accepting of it

[01:44:21] because he is

[01:44:21] going to see

[01:44:22] them and he's

[01:44:22] going to spend

[01:44:23] time with them

[01:44:23] I'm like how

[01:44:25] the mirror of

[01:44:26] Arasad just like

[01:44:26] has echoes in

[01:44:27] the rest of the

[01:44:28] series is just

[01:44:30] perfect writing I

[01:44:31] think it's so

[01:44:32] exceptional I

[01:44:33] think it's so

[01:44:33] good so those

[01:44:36] are mine for

[01:44:37] this read

[01:44:39] Dumbledore had

[01:44:40] the sock right

[01:44:41] and the mirror

[01:44:42] of Arasad

[01:44:43] yeah

[01:44:45] yeah I

[01:44:46] thought he

[01:44:47] would get that

[01:44:47] I know right

[01:44:48] I know

[01:44:49] one of many

[01:44:53] yeah that is

[01:44:54] my prevailing

[01:44:55] theory I think

[01:44:56] it's a great

[01:44:56] one I think

[01:44:56] it's a good

[01:44:57] theory that's a

[01:44:58] fun thing too

[01:44:58] we can come up

[01:44:59] with like different

[01:44:59] side cannons and

[01:45:00] side theories about

[01:45:01] certain things

[01:45:02] that's where it's

[01:45:02] fun but yeah

[01:45:08] well thanks for

[01:45:09] joining us on

[01:45:10] this journey of

[01:45:10] Harry Potter and

[01:45:11] the first time

[01:45:12] readers until

[01:45:14] next time

[01:45:20] should we pop

[01:45:37] champagne right

[01:45:38] now pop a little

[01:45:39] champagne let's

[01:45:40] celebrate

[01:45:41] a little

[01:45:42] celebration yeah

[01:45:43] you can get some

[01:45:44] cups or mugs in

[01:45:44] my drawer too

[01:45:46] whatever was it

[01:45:47] under the couch

[01:45:49] you're storing

[01:45:50] the champagne

[01:45:51] under the couch

[01:45:52] no no

[01:45:56] that must have

[01:45:57] been so fun for

[01:45:58] John though

[01:45:58] like oh my

[01:45:59] gosh guys I can't

[01:46:00] he's typing in the

[01:46:01] chat like discussing

[01:46:02] what we're talking

[01:46:03] about I don't know

[01:46:04] how you did that

[01:46:05] I was so nerdy

[01:46:06] it was peak

[01:46:07] enjoyment for me

[01:46:09] so just I even

[01:46:11] just want to thank

[01:46:11] you guys for that

[01:46:12] too that was like

[01:46:13] yeah you guys

[01:46:15] sacrificing your

[01:46:16] read and just

[01:46:17] like even enduring

[01:46:18] this on some

[01:46:18] nights where

[01:46:19] like you know

[01:46:19] podcasting can be

[01:46:20] annoying you have

[01:46:22] to come from work

[01:46:22] and you know it's

[01:46:23] not the easiest

[01:46:23] thing in the world

[01:46:24] but just sitting

[01:46:26] here and like

[01:46:27] talking about these

[01:46:28] books with you that

[01:46:28] I love and you

[01:46:31] know like I I'm

[01:46:32] like a Harry Potter

[01:46:32] nerd I love it but

[01:46:33] I always just had

[01:46:34] the series on just

[01:46:35] just because I

[01:46:36] enjoyed it and it

[01:46:37] was fun and then I

[01:46:38] started like really

[01:46:39] reading it more and

[01:46:40] more and I started

[01:46:41] getting more into it

[01:46:43] and I always wanted

[01:46:44] to you know have

[01:46:45] like first time

[01:46:46] experience with it

[01:46:47] again and then

[01:46:47] Jen was like hey

[01:46:49] I'm reading over the

[01:46:50] first time I'm like

[01:46:52] as soon as you texted

[01:46:53] that I was like okay

[01:46:54] well we're starting

[01:46:55] this podcast I was

[01:46:56] like how do I how

[01:46:57] do I get this going

[01:46:58] in a way that they

[01:46:58] don't even know we're

[01:46:59] starting it you know

[01:47:00] like how do I how

[01:47:01] do I do this

[01:47:01] you did a great job

[01:47:02] so it was

[01:47:03] you're welcome

[01:47:04] yeah yeah thank

[01:47:05] you so much

[01:47:06] thanks for the

[01:47:07] reading plan

[01:47:07] he always was like

[01:47:09] dangling this carrot

[01:47:10] in front of me though

[01:47:11] like about Harry Potter

[01:47:12] it would come up in

[01:47:13] conversations and

[01:47:15] stuff and I'm like

[01:47:16] yeah okay like don't

[01:47:17] give it away one day

[01:47:18] I'm gonna read it

[01:47:20] I literally would

[01:47:21] cover my ears when

[01:47:22] you guys yeah talking

[01:47:23] to other people

[01:47:24] so one day I knew

[01:47:25] I was going to

[01:47:26] there you go

[01:47:27] I'm glad that it

[01:47:28] just took me to

[01:47:29] convince you

[01:47:29] yeah exactly

[01:47:31] someone that was

[01:47:32] like very matter of

[01:47:33] fact

[01:47:33] yeah yeah

[01:47:34] you didn't need

[01:47:35] theoretical stuff

[01:47:36] you needed someone

[01:47:37] to be like okay

[01:47:37] you're reading it

[01:47:38] this day

[01:47:38] let's start

[01:47:39] yeah I need

[01:47:39] discipline

[01:47:39] boom

[01:47:42] let's walk

[01:47:43] through it together

[01:47:44] I still remember

[01:47:45] the whole conversation

[01:47:46] that's what's so

[01:47:47] funny

[01:47:47] I can replay it

[01:47:49] in my mind

[01:47:50] that's so funny

[01:47:51] yep

[01:47:52] but it is it is

[01:47:53] so funny too

[01:47:54] because everyone

[01:47:55] that is in our

[01:47:55] little like little

[01:47:56] community wants

[01:47:57] that same thing

[01:47:57] they want what you

[01:47:59] guys had to be able

[01:48:00] to read it for the

[01:48:01] first time

[01:48:01] so I cannot even

[01:48:04] express how much

[01:48:05] people this meant

[01:48:06] to other people

[01:48:06] too like for the

[01:48:07] nerds in the

[01:48:08] Harry Potter world

[01:48:09] for you guys to

[01:48:10] read it for the

[01:48:10] first time and

[01:48:11] like even sacrifice

[01:48:12] because you would

[01:48:13] have if you read

[01:48:14] this you would have

[01:48:14] read it quicker

[01:48:15] than seven months

[01:48:16] it would have been

[01:48:17] like you know

[01:48:18] three four months

[01:48:19] you probably would

[01:48:19] have finished the

[01:48:19] series

[01:48:20] you would stop us

[01:48:21] at the worst times

[01:48:22] it would stop

[01:48:23] annoying

[01:48:24] but that did help

[01:48:25] us appreciate

[01:48:26] a lot of things

[01:48:28] now maybe we

[01:48:29] went yeah

[01:48:29] agreed

[01:48:29] I do agree

[01:48:31] but it just meant

[01:48:32] that we really

[01:48:33] got to soak it in

[01:48:33] yeah for sure

[01:48:34] rather than

[01:48:35] Netflix binging

[01:48:36] whatever

[01:48:36] it was back

[01:48:38] to the good old

[01:48:38] days where you

[01:48:39] have to wait a week

[01:48:40] for the next episode

[01:48:40] or something

[01:48:41] you know

[01:48:41] this is more

[01:48:42] serial

[01:48:42] it really was

[01:48:43] like that

[01:48:43] what was that

[01:48:44] life

[01:48:44] we were like

[01:48:45] so eager

[01:48:46] to read more

[01:48:48] it was great

[01:48:48] we would leave

[01:48:49] here and we

[01:48:50] would read

[01:48:50] when we got

[01:48:51] home

[01:48:51] because we're

[01:48:52] like yes

[01:48:52] we can read

[01:48:53] the next

[01:48:53] finally

[01:48:53] we can read

[01:48:54] the next

[01:48:54] year

[01:48:54] I would turn

[01:48:55] on my audio

[01:48:56] book like

[01:48:56] leaving the

[01:48:57] parking

[01:48:57] I love that

[01:48:58] oh that makes

[01:48:59] me so happy

[01:49:00] funny

[01:49:01] yeah

[01:49:01] it's a good

[01:49:02] series

[01:49:02] it was good

[01:49:03] I know how

[01:49:04] it ends

[01:49:04] but this is not

[01:49:05] goodbye

[01:49:06] this is see you

[01:49:07] later

[01:49:07] yeah this is

[01:49:07] see you later

[01:49:08] not goodbye

[01:49:09] closing a chapter

[01:49:10] yeah

[01:49:10] when the series

[01:49:11] comes out

[01:49:12] forget about it

[01:49:12] I know

[01:49:13] of course

[01:49:13] we're coming

[01:49:14] full circle

[01:49:15] we're coming back

[01:49:17] and that'll be

[01:49:18] easy just watch

[01:49:18] something

[01:49:19] I know

[01:49:19] yeah

[01:49:20] I mean we just

[01:49:21] want international

[01:49:22] just to go to

[01:49:23] filming locations

[01:49:24] it's gonna be

[01:49:25] great

[01:49:25] I know

[01:49:26] audio books

[01:49:27] have become

[01:49:27] my thing

[01:49:27] too

[01:49:28] yeah

[01:49:28] there's so

[01:49:29] many good

[01:49:29] readers

[01:49:30] I'm excited

[01:49:30] so we have

[01:49:31] lots of other

[01:49:31] stuff planned

[01:49:33] thanks for

[01:49:33] everyone for

[01:49:34] watching

[01:49:35] thanks

[01:49:36] we'll jump

[01:49:37] back on

[01:49:39] we'll jump

[01:49:39] back on

[01:49:40] soon

[01:49:41] have a good

[01:49:41] night everyone

[01:49:42] or good

[01:49:42] morning or

[01:49:43] good evening

[01:49:43] wherever you

[01:49:44] at

[01:49:45] good morning

[01:49:45] good evening

[01:49:46] and night
